History: Eldirindiril is a strange dragon as dragons go. Hatched and reared by elves deep within the forests of Megalos, his nature reflects more the timeless elegance of the elven folk than the more elemental personality of dragons. The elves had found his egg within a cave behind a waterfall, abandoned due to the death of his mother who, overconfident after many successful raids on human settlements on the edge of the forest, found herself trapped and promptly butchered by a band of Megolan knights. Deprived of draconic parentage, Eldirindiril grew to view Nature as beauty rather than bounty, following the Elven code.

However, when Eldirindiril made up his mind to view the outer world, he found the folk other than his foster race to be rather uncouth and murderous (though not gullible, he is something of an idealist and had hoped that his manner would prove himself not the horrifying beast that other races inevitably view him as). His phobia of crowds comes from his capture and near-death by a mob of humans. He promptly fled back to the woods, to heal and reconsider his place in the world.

Description: Take Draco from Dragonheart, reduce him in size by half, give him the voice of Mako from Conan the Barbarian, and you've got Eldirindiril.

Note: I used Dr. Kromm's most excellent Dragons! article as the racial template for Eldirindiril, although I did buy off a considerable amount of disadvantages from the standard and replaced Odious Racial Habit with Reputation since Eldirindiril will not eat a sentient. Since he was raised in an elven community, I replaced the racial quirk "Like Reptile Men" with "Likes Elves".
