Believe it or not, the other version is actually safer in the long run - Consider what her Computer skills would do, for instance, if she kept putting points into Computer Programming? Or Electronic Operations (Security Systems)? Eidetic Memory doesn't do anything for her physical skills, or her psionic ones, but she's got enough dangerous mental skills that the doubling effect could become quite distressing.
