Frederick becomes a ranger/low-tech scout type. Adjust TL levels, add something like Spear, change Beam Weapons for Bow or Crossbow, and put all superfluous points into things like Survival (various) and/or Naturalist. He'll also pick up things like Tracking and Camoflague. He may or may not still have his fascination with the artifacts of old - if Archaeology is inappropriate, change it for a point or two in History. If Psi powers are unknown, trade the Telepathy for Sensitive (p. CI30), and ESP for Danger Sense. The points from the psi skills are then freed up.
Frederick could be a simple archaeologist, or he might make a good fortune hunter - with his psi, he can find artifacts that are in good condition, that people will pay for . . . Alter TL skills to fit.
Frederick is definitely a fortune hunter of sorts, probably with a minor trade in blackmail-style info on the side . . . Perhaps he works for the Smithsonian corp equivalent, looking for artifacts and sneaking in to take them before they get bulldozed by someone else. Add things like Stealth, Fast-Talk, Acting, and Electronic Operations (Security Systems). Alter TL skills to fit.
Frederick Song was training to be a scout when he became interested in the dead civilizations that were sometimes found by scouts. Combined with the discovery that his Psychometry skill extends centuries into the past (rather than mere years), Archaeology was a natural course of study for him to take up. (There's more people around, too, and Frederick's a little too social for the often-solitary life of a first-in scout.)
Frederick is currently one of the grad students studying under Steve Heinrich.
If TL15 isn't your idea of Space, just scale down accordingly. Piloting (contragrav belt) will probably turn into Piloting (Aircar) or some such.
