Planetology goes, probably turning into Naturalist, as he becomes a guide-type, expert in surviving in "the rough."
Howard is the man to see about a planet - any planet. He also shows a marked preference for tramping about the surface of a virgin world to the company of people in civilization. Despite his passion for the outdoors, he's also the This Way Up's Mr. Fixit and second vehicle driver/pilot. He shares Karyn MacMillan's non-violent views somewhat, but is not as vehement about them.
