October 14, 2017: Muertoons Takes The Stage!

Muertoons

It's not every day that a game we make has characters also featured in a play, and it's even less common that you could find them in the same place. Fortunately for us, serendipity happens!

All month, the Austin Scottish Rite Theater is performing Rosita y Conchita, a play celebrating Dia De Los Muertos. This perfectly seasonal production ties into our recent release: Muertoons! Our card game is based on the show of the same name, and the creator, Eric Gonzalez, based characters in that universe on his own books, namely, Rosita y Conchita. Even better, authors Eric Gonzalez and Erich Haeger will be attending the show later this month.

If you're in the Austin area, come by the show and celebrate this spooky time of year! I visited, and can tell you the theater is beautiful; I can't wait to check out a show! You can even pick up a copy of Muertoons in the foyer where they sell merchandise. But don't worry, if you aren't in the area, you can still get your own copy of Muertoons at your friendly local game store or Warehouse 23! Might want to grab some sugar skulls while you're out, too.
