August 24, 2017: Ogrezine After-Action Report

Ogrezine

The Ogrezine Kickstarter exceeded our wildest expectations. The top stretch goal was $5,000, and the campaign more than doubled that amount, coming in at $13,197. What's more, with 973 final backers, we would have made the original goal and the first two stretch goals even if every single person had supported only at the $3 minimum! That's a solid gauge of interest.

We chose not to set further stretch goals, as this was intended to be a small project and we have learned the hard way not to just keep adding things to a campaign. However, we will certainly think of a couple of extra things to do as a thank-you. We already have some ideas that we think you will like.

It is possible that the campaign, though it was only 16 days, was still longer than it needed to be. We will experiment with more short campaigns in the future.

We publicized the Ogrezine at Gen Con and got a lot of good comments, and I got inspired to write an article!

Thanks to all our backers for the amazing ride and the wonderful show of support. We are very inclined to do another Ogrezine next year. And I'm going to go to Origins next year and play a lot of Ogre, because we'll have some new releases there.

Are you interested in writing or illustrating for Ogrezine? See the guidelines.
