December 17, 2012: It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Dungeons
As the holidays approach, it's time to get together with friends as a merry band, and go forth and loot dungeons. The latest installment of Pyramid masterfully melds mayhem and merriment: We proudly present Pyramid #3/50: Dungeon Fantasy II, providing support for your favorite old-school crypt-crawling GURPS line. This issue includes Dungeon Fantasy mastermind Sean Punch's GURPS templates that harken back an era where being an "elf" or "dwarf" was an origin and a profession. It also includes Peter Dell'Orto-penned power-ups for assassins (as seen lurking in Dungeon Fantasy 12: Ninja), as well as optional add-ons for the saints and warrior-saints from Pyramid #3/36: Dungeon Fantasy.
But that's not all! It offers dark variations of the templates from Dungeon Fantasy 9: Summoners (including new necromantic and diabolical abilities), plus more prepared gear packs by Matt Riggsby, author of Dungeon Fantasy 13: Loadouts.
Are you looking to do even bigger holiday shopping? Why not build your own "super dungeon"? This radical revision of the idea of "dungeons" comes from David L. Pulver, and includes a sample super dungeon -- the Caverns of Willowdeep -- with ready-to-use encounters and new creatures. And what better way to stock a festive dungeon than with one of the two variations of "snowmen," as presented by GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 1 co-author Peter Dell'Orto?
Let the stockings be hung by the chimney with care; Pyramid #3/50: Dungeon Fantasy II is a gaggle of goodies for gold-seeking gangs. Pick it up individually, or subscribe today -- and to all, a good knight!
