January 3, 2006: It Ticked!Last night, at 10pm, the UltraCorps playtest ticked for the first time. Some of us were on the edges of our seats . . . this is by FAR the biggest game we've tried with the new codebase.
It seems to have run all right. Whew!
The tick took 20 minutes, which is too long . . . this was only the first turn, and later turns will be far more complex. So we have optimizing to do. Nevertheless: it worked! Yay.
