June 7, 2019: Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure Continues

[Image]Once again, strange things are afoot at the Circle K . . .

Believe it or not, this year is the 30th anniversary of the film Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (it premiered in 1989). And after years of "maybe they will, maybe they won't," a third movie is confirmed and in production: Bill and Ted Face thMusic. To celebrate the anniversary, and Bill and Ted's films past and present, we urge you to check out Bill and Ted's Excellent Boardgame, by Sam Mitschke and Randy Scheunemann.

Bill and Ted's Excellent Boardgame is a programming-style game for 2-4 players, ages 10 and up. You get to pilot a time-hopping phone booth around the board, picking up historical characters and dodging Evil Dudes. Using cards illustrated by Len Peralta depicting scenes from the movie, you decide which path you will take each turn. The mechanics capture the half-planned, half-chaotic journey of Bill and Ted in their quest to finish their history report. You can't be knocked off your planned path, but you don't know where the other players or the Evil Dudes will go. Bump into an Evil Dude and you lose a Historical Figure.

The game ends when time (i.e., the card deck) runs out. The player with the most historical figures wins! Everyone else has to go to Oates Military School in Alaska . . .

Look for Bill and Ted's Excellent Boardgame at your friendly local game store, or pick one up from Warehouse 23 today!

Gather your friends, watch the movie, and then compete to see who can get an A on their presentation. But as always, be excellent to each other.
