Even the Archangel of Flowers needs an impressive escort occasionally, and
although not fond of intimidation Novalis does prefer it to bloodshed. On
those occasions Novalis calls on any Malakite who has earned the following
distinction:
Ent
Granted only to angels who have proven themselves defending the wilderness,
the Ent Distinction allows the angel to craft humanoid vessels of wood. The
Vessels, which can range from 10' to 21' tall (14' is considered optimal)
grant Protection & Power equal to their level; additionally the angel may
ignore an amount of Protection in a target equal to the Vessel level. The
Ent Distinction counts as a "half-step" increase in rank. Additionally, an
Ent cannot become Outcast - if they fail a dissonance check they acquire
levels of Nocturnal or Diurnal Discord equal to the lowest die. Extremely
dissonant/Discordant Ents do exist, and slumber in the forest until roused.
