It is canonical that Belial has a short attention span and a severe impulse control problem... hence the comments about "deliberation" and "foresight". - -- Chuckg _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Mar 2002 10:02:37 -0500 From: EDG Subject: Re: IN> The Magnet At 09:47 AM 3/19/02 -0500, you wrote: >I realize this would ruin the scenario, but why can't Technology >(or Lightning) equally well drop the ship right in the asteroid >belt, next to Ceres? Because, having not laid eyes on LCant for almost two years, I didn't remember that fact. :/ And because it doesn't make for as fun an adventure. Frankly, Technology might send the PCs, but logically speaking Jean has no reason to send anything but a ship full of Kyriotates of Lightning. I'm going to have to get around to replacing those books, one of these days. > > Naturally, Calabim aren't invited on this trip. Which is why > > there'll be one on board, stowed away. The Calabite could also be a PC who was not, er, invited to come along, a Kobalite spy, the guy from Infernal Fire who was taking a bath in the fusion reactor... *shrug* I figured I'd go with the classic standby on this one: "GM's call". - -EDG ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Mar 2002 16:03:58 +0100 (CET) From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Unni_Sol=E5s?= Subject: Re: IN> New Servitor of Infernal Fire On Tue, 19 Mar 2002, Earl Wajenberg wrote: > > For him, she would lay down her life at his > > command or wish. > > Is this the Selfless Discord? > Not necessarily. You see, there is this thing called Free Will. A demon can _choose_ to do the above thing. It is _very_ unusual, but it _can_ happen. As I interpret discords, they _force_ the ailing celestial to behave in a certain way. In the difference between choosing and being forced there are lots and lots of wonderful opportunities for lots and lots of lovely IG Angst :) - -- Pain! Lots of pain! Why else would it have taken so long to reply to this? - --- Radiskull & Devil Doll Servitors of Hardcore from the animations by Joe Sparks [http://joesparks.shockwave.com] When Furfur rose to power, he recruited a lot of his new ranks from those in service to his ex-boss, Belial. Among those who joined him was one of the oddest pairs that many had seen in hell; a terminally cute Impudite and a Calabite who appeared as a giant, floating, purple-haired skull. The two had been practical outcasts from Belial for quite some time, mostly hanging about in Hades and occasionally getting a gig or two in Shal-Mari. To the Prince of Hardcore, they were exactly what he was looking for; angry, violent, loud and pretty damn talented. He happily welcomed the two into his organisation, crafted a unique attunement for the Calabite, and the rest became history. Quite how much evil the two actually get up to is a matter of opinion; they mostly busy themselves rapping and breaking stuff, but they keep their Prince entertained, so for the moment they're untouchable in Hell. Actually putting Radiskull and DD into a game... I have no idea. Maybe have the game try Devil Doll for fraternising with an Angel (or does this mean I have to write up Candy Angel as well ? >:) Radiskull Calabite of Hardcore Corporeal Forces: 6 Strength: 12 Agility: 12 Ethereal Forces: 2 Intelligence: 3 Precision: 5 Celestial Forces: 4 Will: 10 Perception: 6 Vessel: Giant Floating Skull/5, Charisma -2 Skills: Acrobatics/2, Dodge/3, Fighting/5, Singing/6 Songs: Dreams (Ethereal/5), Entropy (Celestial/4), Light (Corporeal/2, Ethereal/4) Discord: Crippled/6, Vulnerability/2 (Cold), Addiction/2 (Caffeine) Attunements: Calabim of Hardcore, Giant Floating Head of Doom*, Firewalker, Knight of Rock Special Rites: Spend six hours in Beleth's Realm +1 Giant Floating Head of Doom This Attunement (generally thought to be unique to the Radiskull) automatically lets the user to have both the Corporeal Song of Motion and Numinous Corpus: Teeth at level 6, always active. It says in the books that a balseraph will not utter a lie, on the premises that he makes his own truth first. But what if he for some reason needs to utter something that does not fit into his personal version of The Truth? Is there enough of the seraph left in him that he will take dissonance, or is he completely unable to make the statement until he has managed to fit it into his truth? Yes, I know you can do a lot with fast-talk and suchlike, but I like to bother myself with werid questions somtimes. This time I'll even bother _you_.;) - -- Pain! Lots of pain!
