So, unless he's completely neutral, neither side can exist with him being on the other. If God were on Heaven's side, Hell would never have lasted this long. If at all. That is, if God is good. If God is evil, Heaven won't last. If he's not even around to care, we have a world torn between the two opposite sides of the same coin. Same goes for Beleth. Lilith is human, and is probably already dead should God go to Hell. Lilim, the ones that actually care for Mom, would rebel too. Any freedom loving Demon would probably switch too. =====

One of the oldest vampire stories I know of is _Caramilla_. The title character was a late riser. She would get up about noonish. Very aristo. Hell does too, but more reluctantly; Kobal and Malphas would both *love* to have been behind this. In point of fact, this is one of Stone's artifacts, and David is remarkably pleased with how well it's turning out. The Holy Copier takes the form of an extraordinarily high-tech photocopier. This thing can do *anything* - color double-sided collated glossy stapled binder-combed three-holed copies at two hundred pages a minute, and it's getting better every day. Its brand name is nothing you've ever heard of before - the company doesn't have a website, the documentation bears no mailing address or shipping address, and the only phone number listed refers to a country that, sadly, no longer exists. On the other hand, the documentation itself is *superb*. None of this page-number-by-chapter nonsense: the manual is clearly laid out, everything is explained in five-cent English, and there's an answer to just about any question you could think to ask. How they did this in two hundred pages (which you could, had you a mind to, photocopy in about a minute) is a conundrum best left to the philosophers. What the Holy Copier does *not* do is what you might expect. It doesn't copy relics, or in fact artifacts of any kind, except by way of reproducing them on a sheet (or many, many sheets) of glossy paper. It doesn't copy vessels (except by the same method), or souls, or even Forces. In fact, except for two minute details, the Holy Copier is just a normal, everyday, bandaged-edge photocopier. What the Holy Copier *does* do is a very subtle manipulation of thought and experience, such that anyone within (relic level) feet of the copier is granted a random Knowledge skill at level 1 as long as they stay within the copier's active radius; this encourages discussion and bonding, eventually building a tightly-knit office community, while the affected people are just waiting to use the photocopier. Rumors of a Holy Water Cooler are greatly exaggerated. The Holy Copier Talisman/1 (random Knowledge): 2 CP Affects anyone within range: cost * 5 Documentation for the Holy Copier Talisman/6 (Knowledge (How To Use The Holy Copier)): 12 CP Total (if this weren't a random flavor artifact): 22 CP ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Aug 2002 20:31:02 -0700 (PDT) From: Michael Walton Subject: Re: IN> The Holy Copier I totally love this! Just look out for Judgement and the Game, and if a certain individual looks you in the eyes, consider yourself Geased, and just be prepared to give in. It's easier that way.
