So they died, but aren't really worth mentioning. (That's just a guess) (though I can't find anything to >tell if he is the first DP of Drugs...) I'm pretty sure that canonically all the other Druggies were servitors of sloth and got slapped down before they achieved princehood, or tried to take on their master. (That's just a guess) I'd be more inclined to think it's meant as 'more dead Princes than dead Archangels' or something...that said, if it's not, they might be counting people who never quite made it to Princedom but came pretty close. Like Demogorgon, Demon of Destruction, who IIRC Belial killed - S4 indicates that he actually had personal Servitors at that time, as the sorta-kinda-official-maybe-if-he's-not-lying-/again/ background for Valefor says he served Destruction first. ~S.D. I'm betting that several Princes were born just after Lucifer entered Hell and were destroyed in the wars that happened there. It's pretty obvious that the "War in Hell" idea was an afterthought for In Nomine, though. It's always bothered me that nobody who was mentioned before the Fall died in the Secret War. It looks as though all the people who rebelled against Lucifer were unimportant and just died. Then again, maybe they aren't mentioned because they aren't important now... but on the third hand, there easily could've been some very important angels who fought against God and then were destroyed in Hell. Anyway, that's where you'll find some of your Princes. Considering how many were left siding with Lucifer (and accounting for the idea that many of them might've been against him until they realized he was gonna win), there easily could've been a half-dozen renegade Princes -- there'd have to be, or it'd be suicide to fight. You'd better be doing it only among people who have the Seraph of Lightning attunement. If you're doing it right, one. Hex allows you to leave out the spaces. :) I do imagine Jeanites as using a binary datastream rather than formatted hex, though. ;) - -1F1E21 ObIN: New Lightning Attunement Binary: This attunement allows the user to communicate extraordinarily quickly with anyone else who has this attunement (*or* the associated skill). The people communicating must be able to hear each other; there is no other range limit. Binary allows the user to compress the information he's conveying into a datastream; multiply the speed at which he can convey this information by up to (1 + Celestial Forces), although the user can voluntarily lower this (in integer increments). Anyone who does not have this attunement and cannot otherwise understand the language will hear nothing but hisses and crackling sounds when the user opens his mouth to speak. This attunement costs no Essence. Binary has a secondary use which was not discovered until it had been used in the field: it can jam Songs. This use of the attunement requires 1 Essence for each round during which it is active (spent at the beginning of the round), and affects only those Songs which are actually sung (as opposed to the performer using only gestures or simply mentally invoking the Song). The performer of any affected Song reduces his target number for the Song by the Binary user's Celestial Forces. As this use of the attunement requires the user to essentially invoke the primary use of Binary by spouting nonsense at the top of his lungs, the range of this effect is anywhere that is within earshot of the user, and anyone trying to perceive other sounds (conversation, for example) must make a Perception roll at a penalty of the user's Celestial Forces each round that the attunement is in effect. New Skill: Language(Binary) (Intelligence) No default: This skill allows its user to understand Binary (although he still cannot speak it; only the attunement grants that ability). The check digit of a successful roll determines the compression level which the user can understand; anything higher is simply incomprehensible. Target numbers over 12 *cannot* increase a check digit above 6 for this skill; the highest level of compression can only be understood with someone with the Binary attunement itself. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Dec 2002 19:26:23 -0500 From: BC Petery Subject: IN> Demon of Macs > Demon of Macs, former Servitor of Secrets, IST Technology.
