What follows may or may not spoil the movie (so i’ll give spolier space) (end of spoiler space) Allright this gets into a strange discusion about the creation of ethereals, flow of essence through a word and other crazy stuff. Basicly the Blair Witch Project movie would be created to give Nybass a horde of essence, I’m talking enough essence to run hell for a few days. Think about it, a pure media event that blurs the line of what is real and isn’t by brilliant marketing (even the soundtrack refuses to admit strait up that its all fake). I think that he was trying to get a burst simular to the one from war of the worlds, not to mention generating earthly revenue for his enterprises (the profit margin on the entire thing is insane). So basicly the fake documentery backed with fake myths and a special presentation on the Sci-fi channel went to linning the demon prince of media’s pockets with obscene amounts of essence. However what Nybass didn’t count on was what the side effects may be. Modeling it after the war of the worlds broadcast, which despite the huge flow of essence to media and some to the fears of humanity about alien invasion and the like the illusion wasn’t sustained that long, it was a one time deal lacking a fake mythos behind it. With the creation of an entire semi-realistic scenario and background story, and a recognisible symbol everyone who thinks the thing is real helps strengthen something in the area the film was shot, centered around the house. Since what caused the deaths and what was going on was never fully explained every person who believes its real sends essence with a spin on it of their idea, all that is common is the belief something really is there and fear of it (and those who think its real while they see it definetly are affraid, i played a mean joke on my friend by not telling them the entire thing was fake until an hour after they saw the movie). So all this essence is there, bubbling around forming something from stray forces and disperate fears and beliefs. Anyone in the area is now definetly going to feel something eerie, and that will just fuel it. Those who hike through there will find the stone piles, the hanging figures and the house (and god help those who go into the basement). Those there at night will get put through the same kind of stuff, the same noises, everything. All the animals have left the area as they feel the big something forming. Basicly the ethereal being born there is having trouble becoming a proper ethereal, the Blair Witch (which is technicly what the ethereal is) has no real focus. There is a sort of style for which to do things, but with so many people filling in the blanks with so many theories on what the blair witch is the loose force configuration is highly unstable and glutted on essence with about 10 Forces. Essentially it is a powerful if unstable entity that exists to terrorize those in the vacinity. Eventually one of the following will happen: A demon prince will find it, strip the protoethereal of its forces and then create a demon to serve in its place to harness the essence (mostly likely Beleth or Kobal, because the entire situation is funny in an extremely sick way). A sorceror will find it and harness the energy. An ethereal/celstial will destroy it because its unstable, but that doesn't stop the flow of essence. It will be defined by a single image (either a very common one that someone espouses or by a very powerful Will believing a certain way) and become an actual spirit. Or it will run out of essence before it can solidify and will just fade from existance.
