Few would suspect that Derek has killed more humans than probably a great number of demons and takes great satisfaction in it. Derek was orginally a Mercurian of Yves charged with helping mortals find their destiny and repeatably he was shoved into situations confronting mortals who commited acts every bit as demonic as those of Hell. It finally ended when he tracked down a Hellsworn soldier who'd been burning villages and strapped him to a stake and burning him alive. After clearing Derek of dissonance Yves allowed him to transfer to Judgement. Derek absolutely loves humans with all his heart and soul but something up there is not quite kosher according to most Mercurians as he states up front the momment a human spills blood then he ceases to be a human and thus becomes an animal to be put down. Derek spends his days searching through papers and travelling, making friends, and generally being well as he seeks out prey really every second of his days. Murderers are his preferred prey and more humans get away with it than most people care to admit but he's taken time to beat within inches of their lives abusers, make sure rapists get a taste of what they've done, and even on occasion has indulged in torture before the final sentence. Dominic is perfectly pleased with Derek's performance because he takes no personal pride in his action and all overly harsh dissonance has been purified and accidental in nature. Derek has developed some tricks to his profession as well when operating in particularly crime infested areas, especially to cope with the disturbance to the Symphony that often keeps him moving. One is hiring himself out as a hit man over the internet and subtly through channels....it's lead to a number of people hiring him, he's yet to find a place in organized crime but he's killed every one of his employers so far so it's a start. Dominic or the next triad may take well to do note that Derek doesn't consider demons worth wasting his time on, after all he's a friend of man. - -Charlemagne ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Oct 2000 13:48:37 -0400 From: "Aaron Medwin" Subject: IN> Network Chorus A few years ago. Zayiel, servant of Networks, was not pleased. They had seen a demon of Technology mucking around with the university tech center a few hours ago, and they were investigating. "Vapulite scum," they hissed, as they spread thoroughout the system and examined the extent of the damage. Computers across campus were being sent some odd files, they found. It wasn't a regular file - it must be celestial in origin. "Vapulites. They always needed to sabotage the most pristine networks. Why, this time? This was too well crafted to be an impulsive decision.but oh God, they're sending Songs over the network. It doesn't look like it'll work, but. there, we stopped it. They won't know anything, other than it didn't work." Zayiel fired off a quick encoded email to Orc, the Angel of Networks, and spread themselves out as far as they could go, along the still growing Internet. It was truly a miracle, they thought to themselves. Humanity got this one without us helping them, and without the Diabolicals interfering. Marvelous. Beauty. For hours, it stayed stretched through the Internet. It was large already - even Orc couldn't possess all the computers at once, but Zayiel drifted through the vast spiderweb of connections, alert for anything else. Suddenly, a flash of insight struck Zayiel. Maybe a Song couldn't be sung over the 'net, but a chorus, with computers linked together across the world. that had potential, and it could _work_. Emerging into a human host, Zayiel began the invocation to summon Archangel Jean. - --- What happened? Zayiel hit upon a strange notion - relic computers across the world singing in a Chorus, with effects spanning any place that was connected to a computer that was connected to the Chorus; in effect, the entire Internet. Jean approved the concept, and provided Zayiel with the Songmaster attunement to begin work. After only a few months, Zayiel had a prototype developed. All they needed was to send each computer a program, and they could embed it into any email message. The song was a round, though, and as such, the computers needed to start at staggered times. Zayiel figured nobody would mind forwarding it to someone else. After all, it was for a good cause. For their first effort, Zayiel sent a message with a varient of the Ethereal Song of Harmony. "Forward this message to 100 people, and the world will be a better place", it read. If it made the rounds, the world could It was a dismal failure. Nobody would cooperate with this 'junk mail', this 'spam'. It was a joke throughout Hell, as one angel managed to make more humans angry at once than most demons could in a month. Nobody ever took Zayiel seriously again. They tried other titles, offering money, vacations, or to help small children in London. Zayiel still drifts around the corporeal plane, trying for one major success that would make up for these past few years. All they want is for you to forward those emails. It only takes a second, and it can really change the world. - -Aaron Medwin ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Oct 2000 18:31:16 GMT From: "Charles Glasgow" Subject: Re: Novalis and threats (was Re: IN> The hopefully to someday be banned Kobal thread) >From: "ben" >Reply-To: in_nomine-l@lists.io.com >To: >Subject: Re: Novalis and threats (was Re: IN> The hopefully to someday be >banned Kobal thread) >Date: Thu, 26 Oct 2000 11:51:45 -0600 > > Great, now there's a mustard-gas filled whoopee cushion out there > with >my name on it. > >Kobal's greatest trick is convincing mankind that all they have to fear >from him are bad jokes and whoopee cushions. - ------_=_NextPart_001_01C03F87.62589040-- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Oct 2000 08:41:59 -0400 From: "Andrew Stoner" Subject: Re: : The inevitable dreaded anime tie-in (Was: Re: IN> Michael'sChallenges: On the Fly) > For further elaboration, GURPS fans are encourages to cross GIN with Reign > of Steel... > > Jason Subject: IN> Kobal talks about Fallen Superiors A word from our sponsor on this list. Kobal: YOU GUYS SUCK! THE DUMB GEAS GIRL GETS BANNED AND I THE MASTER OF ALL WACKINESS GET TIPPED OVER FOR A BUNCH OF...ERR..UHMPH.... Before he left he gave us an interesting speculation about his ultimate plan. You tell me what you think. Blandine, Demon Princess of Illusion Blandine as Lord of the dreamlands of light lives in her shattered tower once to Heaven where her servitors crowd around her as she wanders through it not-caring about what horrors her servitors wreck upon dreams in their spare time and living in a fantasy dreamworld. However she finds herself pleased at efforts of her children to promote humans to follow impossible dreams and ignore what is there and what they are for the greater reality of illusion. Beleth despises her for she will not even acknolwegde her as the real Beleth but a lie crafted by another. Allied: Nybbas Associated: Fleurity Hostile: Haagenti, Andrephalus, Saminga Enemy: Beleth Christopher, Demon Prince of Children Christopher has grown into a very powerful word that still focuses on children more often than not. Inspiring abusers to heap punishment and abuse on children, his followers encourage them to take up revenge upon them and seek refuge within themselves and other circles. Teen pregnancy, School Shootings, Drug use, Accidental killings (mostly ruled by courts), Mental abuse, and the like are his cup of tea for young ones to the point their almost indistinguishable from adults. Christopher has also taken an unprecendanted step by encouraging mortal cults among children to he and his servitors...including many imaginary friends just for the certain important children. Allied: Nybbas, Fleurity Associated: Andrephalus, Kronos, Kobal Hostile: Baal Enemy: No one Gabrielle, Demon Princess of Wrath Fire has decesended to Hell in the form of the most beutiful form that any demon or damned is likely to see before they are burned to nothingness and added to her light. Gabrielle has blown the Trumpet Seven Times and though no Prince or Archangel believes it to be the Apcolypse she has begun the Rapture...cleansing all righteous mortals from the planet and encouraging others to join in the great Armageddon where good vs. evil can have only one winner thus she proclaims. Allied: Baal Associated: Kronos Hostile: Asmodeus, Belial (Belial is an enemy to her) Enemy: None Dominic, Demon Prince of Lies It was shocking to the hosts of Hell Lucifer would bestow one of his titles upon Dominic but Dominic was a corruption that was long awaited. The Black hooded many tentacled figure is still head of an inquisition but it is devoted instead to rooted to removing righteousness from demons and the damned to make them better servants of his will. On Earth he works to pervert all of reality to what he believes to be God's ever divine will, the fact remains one merely must see black as white, good as evil, and two lights instead of three to appreciate it....he has no doubts anymore. Allied: Asmodeus, Nybbas, Alaemon Associated: Baal, Kronos, Malphas Hostile: Vapula, Saminga, Kobal Enemy: Beleth Eli, Demon Prince of Sloth Eli's Fall was greeted with great fanfare and his twisted frat houses, opium dens, resturants, and entertainment complexes are gifts of all the Princes he gladly supports. Eli has very little say to everyone of his servants who are rewarded greatly for making the world move at a slower pace and self indulgence to overwhelm Creation. Eli personally believes that the War in order to be won doesn't have to be fought by firing a shot but merely convincing Heaven God doesn't care what his children do and convincing mortals to stop caring to that end you have to glut their capacity to "chill". Allied: Andrephalus, Kobal, Haagenti Associated: Nybbas, Fleurity Hostile: Baal, Belial, Kronos Enemy: Asmodeus Gog, Demon Prince of Destruction * David upon his Fall was rewarded with the Word of Destruction that he enforces with manical glea. Serial Killers, Random Acts of Violence, Hate Groups, Militias, and Apcolyptical cults all have emerged around him as David works towards establishing a state of civil war neverending among humanity that only the strong will survive and for which he will then proceed to destroy. There is no force stronger than Gog and no power that can defeat him in his mind, let the humans tremble as they try and measure themselves up to his might. His servitors no longer must wait to be struck to fight, they must merely always throw the last. Allied: Fufur, Magog Associated: No One Hostile: Baal, Belial, Saminga, Asmodeus, Kronos, and Lilith Enemy: Malphas Jordi, Demon Prince of Armageddon This Shedim is a very odd fellow and one who scares ALOT of Demons as he posseses Legion's old ability to possess multiple hosts and is quite clearly insane. Jordi's most typical manifestation is to possess four riders to kill with disease, greed, the sword, and of course the beasts of the Earth. He is prone to great feats of prophecy and that the animals will walk among mortals as gods, the wolf will lie down with the kid, etc. His goal is quite obviously the death of the civilized world. Allied: No One Associated: Baal, Kronos, and Saminga Hostile: All others but.... Enemy: Vapula, Nybbas, and Mammon Laurence, Demon Prince of Righteousness * Laurence upon his fall has raised an incredibly beutiful city that is paved in gold and covered with the shining bones of the unbelievers (of all faiths). His servants are all either snake charmers who believe in nothing but preach a good sermon or the majority who are truly insane and believe Laurence is the second comming of Uriel/Jesus/God/etc. On Earth he has done his best to promote religeous wars of all sorts with the encouragement of the slaughter of peoples, atheists, and those who have yet to make a firm commitment to the world. The Catholic Church is hardest hit by this as Laurence has kept a projection on Earth at all times possesing the Pope though Heaven hopes to truly stop this and fast. Allied: No One Associated: Baal, Lilith, Malphas Hostile: Vapula, Valefor Enemy: Malphas Michael, Demon Prince of Pride Michael's first act upon comming down to Hell was to pledge fealty to Lucifer until the point God ordered him to replace him then his choice was to take command of all of Hell's armies who wished to follow under him (God help you if you don't). Michael because of his loss of word forces intends to greatly change the world and intends to annhilate all who stand in his way doing so. All his servitors are amazingly strong and confident in their works and work to Michael's vision of the World of War. Allied: Lucifer Associated: No one Hostile: Malphas Enemy: Baal Jean, Demon Prince of Electricity Jean's transformation into a Demon prince was much more dramatic than ever with the cold being absconning the usual self mutilations for the most part for clean, clear, cut white suits. He is still relentlessly cold but he has established a core among his servitors to destroy all innovation among humanity and gain strict control of their every progress technology wise. Vapula and he despite their slight adds are actually quite close as their experimental chambers are almost identical and they share a friendly rivalry. Allied: Vapula** Associated: Vapula**, Nybbas Hostile: Vapula** Enemy: Lilith Marc, Demon Prince of Envy Marc's arrival in Hell has proven to be an excellent boost to the failing word of Greed and a great boost to the not so failing word of Theft. Lilim compromise the majority of Marc's servitors with Balseraphs and Impudites forming a great number of the rest. Marc has managed to actually carve himself a place in Hell as a deal maker as worthy as Lilith as every demon Prince is envious of another. On Earth his servitors are broad with many serving as Mestiophlean devils and others acting as just the type of folks to make your life look like hell in comparison. Marc personally himself has no comment but trust me when I say in truth he wouldn't mind seeing every other Prince and Archangel dead. Allied: Valephor, Mammon Associated: Nybbas, Malphas Hostile: All of them (Lilith is hostile to him) Enemy: No One Novalis, Demon Princess of Thorns The sweetest fruit is that which kills you. Novalis has become a thorn in the sides of many demon princes as she had been in Heaven's archangels because she can't see why all the demons can't just get along and have parties together, I mean Hell is so DREARY. Her servants personally and herself though may look beutiful but they are Poison Ivy at heart. Her word truly embodies the spirit of getting what you want but not wanting it after you get it...and she does it so happily! Allied: Kobal Associated: Fleurity, Andrephalus (Lilith is associated with her) Hostile: Well...she can't REALLLY be hostile to anyone but ohhhh darnit if she doesn't want that Saminga fellow and Belial's servants dead....prefferably tonight. Ya think ya can handle it snockems? Enemy: No one Litheroy, Demon prince of Madness What can one say about a Demon Prince who is completely off his rocker insane and whose servitors promote waking nightmares of prophecy, veiled induendo, and hallacuination. One of the weaker princes because of this and many are worried he will need to be put down, the Game has thus far protected him for the revelations he sprouts from the madness he brings....though on occasion he has had to be chained to his principality's heart....for his own protection. Allied: Asmodeus Associated: Beleth Hostile: No one though it changes reguarely that he might be to one for a minute or a decade then stop Enemy: No one though it changes reguarely that he might be to one for a minute or a decade then stop Zadkiel, Demon Princess of Protection *** Zadkiel seems almost Habbalah in her insistance what she does is good. The Djinn Princess is obsessively protective of all sinners which catch her eye and keeps them from being hunted by police, angels, or the like. The reasoni ng behind this is a ultra-pacifistic philosophy saying God does not want to take vengence on sinners so everyone should just ignore those who do what they do in hopes they will cease it. This seems very hypocritical of Zaddy because her "angels" are instructed to destroy those who try and hurt those she protects (they have it comming is her response). Allied: Kronos Associated: Kobal Hostile: Nybbas Enemy: No one Janus, Demon Prince of the Tempest Janus upon comming to Hell has become a huge weather formation that seemingly covers the entirety of Hell with the being batting around the damned in his moaning electrity filled form. Janus seems determined to cause chaos which he claims as part of his word from governments falling to riots in the street to natural and not so natural disasters which he loves. Allied: Fufur, Belial (fires are a big part of him), Saminga (he kills people...lots of people), Valephor Associated: Nybbas Hostile: Malphas Enemy: Asmodeus Khalid, Archangel of Faith He won't fall...nosir rebob. Yves, Demon Prince of Despair With destiny no longer a word the gates of Heaven have lost a great deal of the strength and it is possible that the Righteous simply go....no where when they die. However Yves is patient as he knows that eventually despair will lead all the universe to it's Fate. He is not actually seemingly a Demon Prince but seems to be a servant of Kronos and quite possibly is actually just a manifestation of the Strongest of all Princes. Yves if ever spoke too is greatly willing to explain the true meaning of the universe and it is...quite unpleasant. Allied: Kronos Hostile: All Enemy: All Anyone have any comments on Kobal's possibly next big Plot? - -Charlemagne ------------------------------ End of in_nomine-digest V1 #1879 ******************************** The material here is (C) 2000 Steve Jackson Games, Incorporated.
