The quote "humans - who were just an unusually bright species of animals as far as most angels were concerned -" was amusing, but there's a lot more there of interest. Three animals have been written up: Rusty, NMp43; Blackie LRp105-106; and Mr Squeak S4p141. I think all three are going to bend peoples' brains; Rusty has Songs, Blackie is a Living Artifact and Mr Squeak is 1) Possibly of Grigori descent & 2) "...approaching human levels of intelligence, slowly, as he gets used to the extra brainpower". The only generic rules are on p191 of the base book; I believe that there is an spider dream realm in YAH; and there are several refences to zombi animals (who have NC). (You can feel it move from him when he speaks, only there's a mixture of disgust, contempt, control, and power in his voice. With this information in mind, I believe that I would have to make use of another idea given to me by a wiccan friend of mine, who helped to crystalize (sp?) a half-baked idea in my mind: Kronos is the lower half of God. Kronos is the manifest aspect of God which truly despises, hates, and selfishly wishes /others to fail/ so that He can feel better about himself. Perhaps the Almighty's self-doubt and fear are manifest in Kronos. Inspiration: I don't remember when Kronos came into existance, but following this line of thought, I would place it at Jesus' death (assuming that IMC Jesus was God manifest). When God became a Man (in part), then He became *flawed* because man is flawed. (And yes, those that argue that Jesus was/is NOT flawed would be *wrong* . . . /IMC/.) With this flaw came Fear, and darkness that brings crept into Jesus as He hung from the cross (as evidenced by Matthew 27:46 "... Jesus cried with a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' that is, 'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?'"). This Fear was purged before Jesus came alive once more, but not before He saw fit in His eternal wisdom to cut the Darkness from his own being, and that Darkness took shape as a bundle of Forces known today as Kronos. Just a thought. A varient would be that as Jesus died he/He took with him all the sins of humanity. These sins have manifested as Kronos (which makes sense to me, since I define sin as separation from God, but because Jesus took into himself all of humanity's sins, sins once separate from God became one with God. The resulting paradox created Kronos, a paradoxical creature who is at once both at one with God/the Symphony, and yet removed from it (sinful)). - -Perry perrylloyd@hotmail.com pl312993@oak.cats.ohiou.edu http://www.geocities.com/llloyd.geo "And that's the hardest thing for a human being to do - be wrong. Okay, allow me to share my own half-baked and thoroughly uncanonical idea... Kronos is the Symphony -- if it meets its Fate. Yves is the Symphony -- if it meets its Destiny. Both are living, in a way, backwards in time towards the future where they _are_ the Symphony. (Remember Merlin in TH White's _Once and Future King_?) As the Symphony has not as yet reached its Fate or Destiny, both of them still exist. When the final Fate or Destiny is reached, whichever of them "loses" not only will not exist, they will never have existed. Both of them attempt to adjust the world so that the Symphony will move towards Fate or Destiny, but they're both working with a constantly shifting frame of reference. It doesn't matter exactly what events make up that Fate or Destiny -- in fact, as time proceeds and events take place, Yves and Kronos are (in a way) being evolved by these events, because what is happening now and what has happened will go towards creating the ultimate Fate or Destiny of which they are manifestations. Anyhow, just a theory, and an explanation of why they are so utterly exclusive of each other. In the end, there will only be one, and there will only ever have been one . . . Which means, dear friends, that my mailbox is full of bounces telling me that Zeresh43 is no longer in this world. So, unless I can find out who the HECK Zeresh43 really is, I'm going to start u n s u b s c r i b ing people randomly until the bounces stop. (Well, not randomly. First, I'll start with other gateway.net and AOL users. Then I'll go through the top ten addresses in the list and, unless I happen to remember seeing that name post...) So, if anyone knows who Zeresh43 is, speak up now. Because I've had over 150 bounces since the 8th _and_ a long distance call to io.com admin and I am most definitely in Djinn mode. Please--if you were thinking of responding to this, _stop_. The list doesn't care who it _isn't_. (I'm not sure the list specifically cares who it _is_, either, except that we're all happier when Beth is in Archives mode.) I'm going to make an Emergency Declaration. If you feel like saying "Not me!", mail me--sfeldon@microsoft.com--directly, and tomorrow morning, I'll mail Beth a list of folks it _isn't_, by email address. She might not use it, but at least it won't turn into the Topic Of The Day. steve - -----Original Message----- From: Charles Glasgow [mailto:cglasgow@hotmail.com] Sent: Monday, November 13, 2000 1:54 PM To: in_nomine-l@lists.io.com Subject: Re: IN> [ADMIN] Who Knows ZERESH43@GATEWAY.NET? And yes, I might well use it. (And, blast it people, CLIP WHAT YOU'RE RESPONDING TO. Geeze, lack of trimming quoted material seems to be an epidemic - I've even seen some otherwise sensible people missing that one recently.) - --Beth, Princess of List Admin (With a cookie for Steven.) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Nov 2000 17:25:33 -0500 From: Elizabeth McCoy Subject: Re: IN> What you've all been waiting for... Uh....that would be me, and I'm really sorry about it. Recently, Gateway.net stopped acting as a server for me, for some odd and unknown reason, so I had to take out an account with Enter.net. Sorry for all that trouble, just another result of whatever caused gateway to kick me off. REALLY, REALLY SORRY.
