I can't find the Web site containing the Song of Gravity. It's a non-canon song that I found one day while surfing the Internet, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know the address? Also, I saw a camera (relic) that could take a picture of a Celestial form. It's a prototype from the Hall of Progress. I would need more details on it as well. I'm stealing a scenario idea that I saw on the list. I can't remember whose scenario it is, though. Hope it's not copyrighted!!! My 2 players are from Jean (an Elohite and a Kyriotate). The Elohite is working for the FBI, and the Kyriotate is helping him in the shadows. They are investigating on the murder of another celestial. They found the picture of a demon in celestial form on the corpse, but not the camera. And that's about all I have for the moment. It should be ready in a week, so I need quick ideas about plots and characters. I'm also planning to insert a group of two TV reporters to become their favourite contacts (these are brand new characters). Help would be welcome... Oh! I just thought about something! About the Elohite attainment of Jean. It allows the character to create a computer from thin air, with unlimited storage capacity, etc. And after a while, it disappears. Now what if the character stores stuff in the computer? The next time the character "creates" a computer using his attainment, is it the same computer? I mean: will the information stored in the computer on the first day be available on the computer "created" on the second day? I would think so, otherwise, what's the use for the unlimited storage capacity? Off-topic: Congratulations to Walter and Elizabeth. I have to agree that the list looks a bit dead without them. Would Archangel Beth also be the AA of Life??? Laurent. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 05:06:19 EST From: BillionSix@aol.com Subject: Re: IN> Can't find it anymore! Heh. Even the new wording still makes it impossible for Balseraphs to lie to get into bed with someone, since they have to believe their resonance while they are using it. They can also say they care for them and mean they care about the individuals body (they don't want to be with someone who isn't attractive), care about their soul (in the sense of wanting it to end up Andre's property), etc. They just can't care for them in the healthy way. I don't think Balseraphs have to worry about that. Besides Balseraphs don't lie. They just convine you of the truth. I know this. I've done it. I'm not too good at it myself. But I know what looks good, and I know what style is. The In Nomine Rulebook had wonderful cover art. The burning feather had true style, it captured the entire concept beautifully. It had a simple sense of style which truly fit the concept of the book. The following books were done in a similiar and very good style. Dercy did a wonderful job of the Liber Canticorum, Castellorum, etc. All the Libers had art that fit the original rulebook. It seemed that the system had a cohesive style to the cover art. This was good. After You Are Here, things starting going downhill. You are Here had a decent cover, but First off, the art for the Infernal Players Guide was appalling. Demon in Spandex, with a weight belt on. Ooookkkaayyyy.... Angelic Players Guide was all right, but not too great, and the Corporeal Players Guide redeemed both of them. That was one of the best that wasn't done by Dercy. Then the Gamemasters Guide came out. That cover was barely tolerable. Superiors I pretty good.... Superiors II cover needs to burn a dark ugly death for all eternity. The point of this rant is that, as far as good cover art, In Nomine has seriously lost it's focus since Dercy stopped doing them. The art quality (for the covers, not the inside of the books. The inside art has gotten better by leaps and bounds) has gone downhill dramatically as a whole. And the style is not cohesive. They don't look like books for the same system anymore. They are a senseless melange which strange logos, and somewhere the trademark In Nomine thrown in. The only thing that makes them look in common besides that is the Steve Jackson Games down the middle. Covers are important. They are the first thing a buyer looks at, and what frequently draws them to first look at the game. I just have to get two points out of my system: 1) Superiors II has some of the most god-awful cover art I have ever seen. 2) SJ Games needs to get back on the ball with their cover art design. This is not GURPS where you can just slam the Black Box around it and make it look like a GURPS Book. You need a style, and you need to stick with it. You were doing that earlier in the line, but you've lost that. Thank you, I've got my point of essence for the day. It is lush, and profane. Precisely right, in my opinion. However, you realize the order of the "decline" of cover art bears no resemblance to when these things were actually published. For example, the IPG and APG predate You Are Here and most of the Libers.
