The French _is_ hard (and quite slangy) but a couple of dictionaries should get you through the worst of it. As for books -- I heartily recommend the Liber Angelis and Liber Daemonis, which have loads of organisations for all the different Superiors, and which can very easily be stolen from. (The Liber Daemonis actually broaches the subject of Andrea's current pregnancy, which I _wish_ they'd hurry up and resolve!) _Dementia Profundis_ has some cool scenarios and interesting stuff in it. And _Baron Samedi_ is just one of the coolest campaigns out, especially if you like half-angel, half-demon crossbreeds, voodoo cradles and messiahs, human sacrifices, and a campaign that outright admits inspiration from Blue Oyster Cult. What are the odds that any of this would be "crossing the pond" anytime soon? I realize that IN and INS/MV are two very-different-but-loosley-related games, but does that mean that there will never be an crossovers? How about one of our resident Francophiles do an article for Pyramid...? O. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send online invitations with Yahoo! Because playtesters squeak like crazy if they notice anything which has come from INS -- it has a particular style). I also wouldn't hang on the Pyramid thing, because I don't think they're looking for IN articles at the mo. jo ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2000 01:58:07 -0700 (PDT) From: "O. I certainly have NO objections if people want to post their replies to the list(s); I'm subscribed to all of them and I'll read the replies no matter where they are. I just didn't want to take a chance on flooding the lists with possibly irrelevant traffic. I'll say, since it came up, that I've been quite happy with the responses so far; they have been *enormously* helpful. (No, that doesn't mean they're all positive, but it does mean that the negative ones have been *helpfully* negative. I haven't gotten anything I'd classify as a flame.) And of course, I'll be happy to summarize the replies I get once they slow down to a trickle; say in a week? I know I plan of grabbing a copy of the GMG as well as some more INS/MV books eventually. 'cor, that requires money, eh? Apparently their astronomers are shocked to see stars dissapearing in a direct path towards Earth. * The Sun, as usual, has discovered new prophecies of Fatima and Nostradamus that point strongly to the fact that some horrible cataclysm is coming. But, don't worry! The remaining survivors will be non-traumatized enough to build a shining age after all the fallout and junk is over. Oh. And is anybody going to be at Dragoncon this year? My friends and I are piling up in a car and driving from Arkansas to Georgia riding laps and not stopping at every Wal-Mart, as I am wont to do. . .Let us know and we'll hook up for some partying or something! I'm getting all renned out for the costume masquerade. Wench In Training!
