Hee! Bear in mind, though, that the artifact-creation rules _are_ long- term -- days at a minimum. You don't have gadgeteering. And the Demons of Fate will smile, with their little ineffible smiles, as the Gabrielite winds up racking Dissonance up in the process. Remember, Angels of Fire _combat_ Cruelity. They don't encourage it. If said Angel is an Elohite (somehow I'd think he is), he's already got several piercings and a dozen tattoos. No doubt he is convinced he's doing good. Charity requires one believe he does not take a self-righteous enjoyment in all the condemnations he utters -- though Prudence may return a cynical "Yeah, sure." Whatever his intent, he does his own cause no good by making Christians in general and conservative Christians in particular look cranky and narrow-minded. Scattering Chick tracts in places calculated to cause the most affront is probably a minor Rite of Factions. No doubt about it, he spreads all sorts of lies and misinformation (a great deal of which he probably believes himself, I would claim) that leads to misunderstanding, bigotry, and hate. Those who buy his propaganda develop a seriously warped view, and to others it just paints all Christians as intolerant, fundamentalist nuts who ignore blatantly obvious truths about human nature and the workings of the universe. In fact, it's hard to see how what is ultimately the same religion gave rise to both people like him and dedicated scientists like Gregor Mendel (who probably hangs out in Novalis's chunk of heaven these days). I'd say there's probably a Haballah of factions lurking somewhere behind Jack Chick, thinking all the time that he's doing God's work... - -- Santiago ------------------------------ End of in_nomine-digest V1 #1825 ******************************** The material here is (C) 2000 Steve Jackson Games, Incorporated.
