Okay, as we all know, Lilith was somehow granted Superiorhood by Lucifer, as
some sort of
deal. Now, no one knows how he did it, and neither of them are telling, so
that leaves her
as a sort of enigma. One question that arose in my mind recently was
simple: why hasn't he
done it again?
And then the answer came: she Geased him.
When he made the deal to her, she agreed, but Geased both herself and him
to seal the
deal: that she would serve him, and that he would never create another like
her. Lilith is
most certainly not stupid, and she realised that while she is indeed
unique, and therefor
valuable, if she ever gave Lucifer reason to replace her, he would. And so,
in order to
preserve her own existance, she made that addition to the bargain. Of
course, given the
scale of the Geas and the fact that these are Superior-level entities we're
talking about,
the Geas, on both sides, is astronomical, probably ranging on a scale
measured in billions
of years. Ironically, this means that even Lilith herself isn't free, and
isn't likely to be free
for some time yet.
Hey, if nothing else, it means she isn't going to be Redeeming any time
soon.
