History: Scaleteeth has not always been a happy demon. Up until 1900 he was traded amoung the Princes as a powerful pawn. In 1900 Kronos handed him off to Haagenti to whom Scaleteeth took an immedity liking too. Scaleteeth enjoyed serving his new Prince for the first time since Creation. Scaleteeth's favorite tactic was to entroduce a mortal to anchovies and sardines and turn them into seafood gluttons. He was so passionate and proud of his work that Haagenti eventually supported him in a bid gain the Word of Anchovies and Sardines. Lucifer accepted the proposel and gave Scaleteeth his Word. Today Scaleteeth works closely with the Demon of Seafood (His direct boss) and the Augustine, Demon of Caeser Salads. He constantly encourages resteraunts and pizza parlors to serve anchovies espically if he can convince them to serve them without the customer's apporval. He enjoys promoting his Word with a passion. His Word and power are slowly but steadly growing, but this does not bother Haagenti as Scaleteeth is happy where he is and Lucifer would nevr make a Prince of Anchovies. Scaleteeth would make an interesting adversary for Angelic player, esp. if the Angel of Pizza is in your group, or he could be the boss of a Demonic servant of Gluttony. It tracks *really* close to IN. Angel was working out just dandy as a vampire with a guilty conscience until the episode Bad Age aired. Giles I had pegged as a redeemed Habbalite who comitted the Ripper murders in London. In Buffy canon, he was in a protopunk band in th UK in the early 70s, whose members dabbled in occultism and inadvertently summoned a demon.. For Angel, he has an angel in residence: Song of Residence This song allows a willing human to grant temporary residence in his body to a celestial for a number of months equal to the check digit. Residence means, basically, a piggy-back ride. The celestial can't control his host's body, but can see and hear through his host's senses. The essence cost is two, one point each from the celestial and the human. Additional essence may be added to extend the duration. One additional point (three total) will produce a duration of 2*(chek digit) months, 4 essence will give you months=3*9check digit), etc. The celestial is free to leave and return to his host for the duration, but returning to the host involves entering his dreams through the Marches and receiving permission from the host. No additional essence is required. Communication from the host to the celestial is easy enough, all he has to do is talk to himself. Communication from the celestial to the host requires the ethereal song of tongues. Opposing intervention bars the celestial from ever residing in that particular host, friendly intervention effectively sets the check digit to infinity, so the celestial never has to perform the song again to reside in the host, simply requesting permission in the usual way. I like to think it keeps him honest... Knights of the Order of Turaka A new Distinction for servitors of Baal. The Knights of Turaka are a special strike force. Each one works alone. They each have a ring, or other suitable item of jewellry, with the sigil of the order inscribed upon it. These are very special ornaments. Not only is it imbued with the celestial Song of Attraction, but they are *ALL* attuned to the *SAME* person. They are also imbued with a Geas/3 to kill the object of attunement. Each day that the Knight fails to journey to the target, he incurs 1 note of dissonance (GMs, be as gentle or as strict as is appropriate for your campaign. If the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere, and the demon won't be able travel 'til the next day, I wouldn't give him dissonance, but it's your campaign). Once the target is slain, the artifacts become detuned. And the Knights are free to continue their duties. When Baal needs to activate the Knights, he sends a trusted agent out with a special artifact (if you need it immediately, go ahead and create it, I'll probably wait for the LR). By touching the intended target with the artifact and spending 5 essence times the current number of Knights, the Knights are all immediately attuned to the target, and geas conditions apply. As far as the near-tether goes, figure it's only shy by about 30 essence before being established. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - --------------------- that's all for now, folks... About Gabriel and Belial, and Death and Saminga, and how Superiors who shared Words tended to be, well, *different* than the vast bulk of Superiors. On the other hand, non-Superiors who shared words weren't any different as a class compared to the bulk of Worded celestials. Lucifer had just learned Michael was on trial before Dominic. Lucifer had wanted revenge on Michael for millenia. And Lucifer wanted to know what happens when a Superior shares a Word with a non-Superior. And so, Karldos became the Demon of War. For one brief, shining instant. And several lessons were learned as a consequence. Lucifer learned what happens when a Superior shares a Word with a non-Superior. Karldos learned what it's like to have all your Celestial forces stripped in a picosecond, and that even Remnants keep their Words. And the overambitious, unsuitable young demon?
