--------------------GEV List Thingy, Dec 31st-------------------- From: (Steve Jackson) Subject: Re: Thought that perhaps you might possibly like to see this. Thanks! Note that while scenarios and such have a very ong half-life on Illuminati, the Ogre board itself, b5, turns over messages under the current software, and will probably not even archive them FOREVER under the new software. Of course, anything neat will get moved into the G-files, or that's the theory. ___ [I've seem to have captured the non-overrun aspects of the game into the formula, now for some tough questions: Setup A: Mk-III agianst a world of woods, where every hex has three points of inf waiting. No ranged combat, and only the Ogre moves. Question, how far does it get? My calculations show about 24 hexes. Setup B: 54 infantry squads jump a Mk-III in the clear (This is all that will reach into a single overrun). 14 of them die on its first fire round. On its 2nd fire round, the main claims a 15th squad. The inf are allowed three more fire rounds, but they only need two... Jackson rates a Mark-III as being worth 50 squads. -HJC] Henry J.
