--------------------GEV List Thingy, Jan 12th-------------------- From: chrisc@debra.dgbt.doc.ca (Chris Camfield) Subject: GEV Hi... I was just wandering through rec.games.board when I came across your FAQ post about GEV. What's this about a GEV email list? And how do you play the game over the net??? Interesting. :) I might mention that your algorithm cost my Grade 10 Math class dearly, as I was much happier designing new units (and drawing them) than paying attention at that time. I haven't played in a while, though I still have the minibox GEV & OGRE, SHOCKWAVE, Reinforcement pack, and numerous Space Gamers. How do the miniatures rules work? I presume that they're on a more detailed level than the original game? -- Chris Camfield (chrisc@debra.dgbt.doc.ca) "After today, after today, Consider me gone, gone, gone..." (Sting) ___ [I moderate the PBeM games and throw the dice, the players send in per-turn orders for move and shoot. Ogre minis adds basic LOS rules and a bunch of new units, but mostly its GEV with one hex == two inches. Note that defenders declare overruns in Ogre minis, but this is no real advatage, just drop your infantry off on top of his GEV, wait until his turn, and then declare the overrun yourself. BTW: I've been debating some obscure points with Steve, what issue is "End Game" (Two human players vs beserk Ogre) in? -HJC] Henry J.
