--------------------GEV List Thingy, Nov 3rd-------------------- From: sj@indial1.io.com (Steve Jackson) To: hcobb@fly2.berkeley.edu Subject: Re: GEV List Thingy, Oct 28th. Hi. Catching up on replies. Have been out of town for ten days; got sick on the trip, came home, fell into bed for two more days. Am still contagious so am communicating only by mail... Gopher/ftp at our IO.COM site: It will be there. I had expected it to be in better shape than it apparentlt(y is now . . . don't know why you are seeing nothing there. AP guns will be added to SHVY in any reissue of the hex game, yes, certainly. WarpWar and other Metagaming releases: I'm not a good source of info for anything expect the ones I designed. I know that the owner of Metagaming was, and probably still is, trying to sell the rights, but I know of nobody who knows where to find him any more. Helper programs for our games: Our policy for these is embodied in a file called GMIADLIC, which is downloadable from our "old" BBS and will soon be up on the new one if it's not already. Actually, I'm pretty sure that it is there now, someplace under /usr/files, but y'all want it FTP-able, don't you?**B0100000027fed4 ___ [Welcome back Steve, hope you're feeling better soon, just wanted to leave the official announcement of IO.COM {198.4.60.10} to you. I'm considering sending in my check to sign up for an account (hint: try telnetting to io.com...), can I drop the GEV list archives that I have over on your FTP site now, or is the server too unstable? A note to everybody: my resignation from the SFB list has no particular impact on the GEV stuff, but Steve might want to take everything "in house" now that he has the connection. (If so, feel free, as it would doubtlessly simplify matters to run everything from a single site.) -HJC] Henry J.
