Do you still have access to a copy? And, asking very nicely, with lots of pleases and grovelling, is it possible to obtain a copy? I really like WarpWar :-) > I was under the impression that lasers (the rapid fire > nuclear-pulse type that BPC makes obvious), were a little too heavy for > Ogres, but I've always wanted to have a laser cruiser (yes, Navy) to guard > invansion fleets against missle-sub attacks. Would people play it? I guess a beach invasion would be interesting. The timeline in OM indicates several Normandys and a Sea Lion! -shaun ___ Subject: Re: GEV List Thingy, Oct 20th. From: Christopher Camfield To: hcobb@fly2.berkeley.edu (Henry J. Cobb) I know this isn't really a GEV or OGRE question, but it's sort of related; when Shaun mentioned WarpWar, I remembered my copy (and how I lost it along with a lot of games :( ). The question is (directed at Steve) (I don't remember his email address) - is it possible to get any information (rules, info on maps, etc) for any of the other games that you designed under/for Metagaming? They are, needless to say, no longer easily available. :) -- Christopher Camfield (ccamfiel@undergrad.math.uwaterloo.ca) ___ [I lost my disk with the PET Basic WarpWar game in the same set of disasters that wiped out "Aztec Nuns", it wasn't very smart in it's tactics anyway... -HJC] ___ From: str@qdot.qld.gov.au (Shaun Travers) To: hcobb@fly2.berkeley.edu Subject: Waterloo And while I remember (I am a forgetful sod). I would like to thank Henry for a Waterloo, The Ogre PBEM. I had a great time. Although it never finished it rekindled my interest in Ogre. As a result I have just bought the miniature rules. I guess Waterloo II (with ogre mini rules) is not on for the same reason Waterloo I stopped? Lastly - the superheavy. In the Mini rules, a SH has 2 AP. Is there any plans (or a definite ruling) about this becoming part of the Ogre/GEV/ Shockwave 'hex' game? I always did wonder why the SH never had them if it was nearly a Mark I. It certainty adds a bit more bite to a SH. Any armour unit never likes infantry :-) -shaun ___ [But just think: This could be your big chance to run a PBeM Ogre game! -HJC] Henry J.
