However, the attacking Zirto ran into some bad luck in the North West cities. While trying to overrun a 1-1 infantry to clear the way to Beta and glory, both overruning GEVs were killed. Then, in the next defensive move, the same 1-1 infantry along with two others killed two more GEVs by overruning them. Zirto's advance was halted only momentarily as it managed to squeeze by the defenders and get two 2-1 odds shots at Beta. Guess what happened - bolo and bolo, and Beta survived the game was the attacker was crushed by an onslaught of reinforcements and tanks.
