Zircher" ------------------------------ From: martimer@mindspring.com (Martin W Gallo) Subject: Shockwave vs Ogre Minis BTW, I have been playing Ogre since 1977, although I never got into the miniatures stuff. One question I have is: 'Are the rules/units from Shockwave included in the miniatures game?' [Yeah, mostly. BTW: I just got blindsided again. I looked on the OGRE page (http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/) to check to see if they had a note about this and noticed that there is now a PBEM page. (I'll try to browse their tree more often in the future) -HJC] ------------------------------ From: "Todd A. Zircher" Subject: Raid Game ends Henry J. Cobb wrote: > [Huh? (What happened elsewhere?) > -HJC] I led a very success raid against the South and West sides of the boards while taking few casualties. Unfortunately, when I crossed the northern river, three things happened: 1. I lost momentum. 2. Mike got some badly needed reinforcements right where he needed them. 3. The dice server 'betrayed' me. The loss of momentum for the GEV strike force is what killed me. Without a fast crossing, I got bogged down and defensive. From there it was a only a matter of time before reinforcements and the eastern forces caught me. Next time I'm on the offense, I might try shooting up the river, and see if I can avoid that 'speed bump'. Todd A. Zircher ----- [A possible rule change in Minis. It seems that the river shoreline acts like a stream-boundry for GEVs. If this applied in GEV, how would it affect your tactics? -HJC] Henry J.
