I tried to find out about the current state of some of those rights once. It was a mess. Heritage did not die quickly or cleanly. Please, where on the 'Web can I find this, what's the cost, and is the download version crippled in any way?? Garth L. Getgen ------------------------------ From: "Pelletier, Michael J" Subject: Ceasefire Collapse Game Ends; Auto-roller used The Eastern Paneuropean forces suffered a decisive+ defeat at the hands of the Western Combine in a recent game of PBEM basic Ceasefire Collapse. Peletier@grolen.com commanded 11 GEVs for the Combine that Blitz'ed eastward to overrun the under-defended Pan E Southeastern sector. Sanddllr@erols.com tried to rally the PanE's Southward, but the 8 Heavy Tanks were just too slow. A screaning force of 3 PanE GEVs were destroyed in the first stages of rescue effort. The PanE's did manage to kill CP Beta, as one bright spot for them. The end result was 111 victory points for the Combine. The Combine northwestern corner was defended by 2 Howitzers and 18 infantry. The only action they got was taking out the roads. The unique part of this PBEM game was the automatic dice roller we found on the Internet ! Whenever a roll was needed, an email note was sent to dice@pbm.com or jwk@sysalt.com. Then in a few minutes, all the die rolls we needed were emailed to both of us ! If you need further instructions on how this was done, let me know. These auto dice rollers really help playing one on one. For scenarios that require secret setups, just use a third party for the first part of the game ie: Breakthrough. ------------------------------ From: sj@io.com (Steve Jackson) Subject: Questions re Minis The first draft of the collector checklist is about ready to go. I'd still really like to get some old blister cards from the Martian Metals or SJ Games (or Grenadier) releases of OGRE MINIS. Lots of people have offered me RAL PARTHA cards - and thanks! - but samples of those, I have. Today's question has to do with STOCK NUMBERS. Someone on this list asked about stock numbers and I said I'd add them to the list. Easier said than done... Can anybody tell me (perhaps by reference to old distributor catalogs) - (1) what the Martian Metals stock numbers were? (2) what the *SJ Games* stock numbers were (Blush. My supposedly-comprehensive list of stock numbers of our releases totally omits the minis.) This is circa 1982, and ended early 1983. (3) What the Grenadier stock numbers were. This is circa 1983. (4) What the Partha stock numbers were for tfive of the last six releases - Paneuropean Fencer (93-003, probably - can anyone confirm?). Design by Mike Naylor; Ral Partha sculpture by Jeff Wilhelm. Heavy Tank (Combine) (I know this was 93-004). Design by Mike Naylor; Ral Partha sculpture by Jeff Wilhelm. Missile Tank (Combine) (93-0??). I'll put it all together and post it to the web (and to here, if anyone does not yet have web access and requests it).
