============ OGRE/GEV list, Oct 11th (Last: Oct 5th) ============= ===== Maps and Mapping... From: "Said, Stephen" ===== Laser Cruiser From: Chris Camfield ------------------------------ From: "Said, Stephen" Subject: Maps and Mapping... We're in the process of finalising the first draft of our campaign rules for Ogre. (Anyone interested, email me direct and I'll send you a copy...) We're using the old counters and maps. I can't justify the money in collecting and painting miniatures. So what I'm after are three things and I was hoping someone might be able to help. (i) Any maps or suggestions for maps to use with Ogre/GEV. (ii) Probably more importantly, something lie VMap but allows you to create a map using Ogre/GEV type hexes. I have found a few but you should try doing a search on 'map', 'game' and 'hex' sometime. (Strange people on the web let me tell you...) (iii) Ways to create Ogre/GEV counters, ie software that can do this for us, or even copies of counters. Your help will be greatly appreciated... It requires water of at least 5 meters >depth to cruise around in. Ah, okay. In WW2, there was such a thing as a "cruiser tank", which was a particular type of (fast, IIRC) tank. Thus the confusion. I think an (experimental) Laser Ogre is still an interesting idea. :-) Chris Chris Camfield - ccamfield@cyberus.ca Big Rude Jake Fan Club President Visit the Big Rude Page at "http://www.cyberus.ca/~ccamfield/brj"!
