============ OGREverse list, Feb 4th (Last: Jan 28th) ============= ===== Supplement for OGRE From: OHara Walter ===== Train Question From: peletier@grolen.com ------------------------------ From: OHara Walter Subject: Supplement for OGRE Very cool. Is this a SJ vaporgame or is it in the production spiral?! > [Well, there is a supplement that might have something like > berserk > units, eventually... -HJC] ----- [It's only vaporgame if they tell you about it. If I say anything about it, it's an unsubstantiated rumor. I would hope that the members of this list would do a better job of keeping their sources straight than the press. -HJC] ------------------------------ From: peletier@grolen.com Subject: Train Question In the GEV scenario TRAIN, when the train enters - do both halves have to enter the map on the first turn ? IE: the train enters at speed 1. So the back half would be off the board. Now, an enemy unit overruns the part of the train on the board - are both halves of the train destroyed ? MIke P in NH ----- [The train scenario allows the train to enter at any speed. I guess it's reasonable for a half-on train to escape. GEV6.135 says that an overrun of the rear hex of the train destroys only that hex. Since the speed one train can move in either direction each turn, both hexes are rear hexes. (Hey, is this goofy enough to count as errata?) Submission for Murphy's rules: In the 21st Century combat of GEV, close combat snapshots delivered in the confusion of an overrun are better aimed than computer calculated ranged fire. -HJC] Henry J.
