============ OGREverse list, Feb 7th (Last: Feb 4th) ============= ===== Ogre-strangely familiar From: "Cindy Flowers" ===== OGRE/GEV PBEM From: Ernesto Camillo Ganapini ------------------------------ From: "Cindy Flowers" Subject: Ogre-strangely familiar I have been aware of the existence of Ogre in it's many incarnations for loe these last 21 years. I am a 34 year old guy who has tried, off and on to aquire the large scale board variant of the game for about 17 years. My failure is less a result of availability and more one of complacency. Still, I can't help but wonder how much influence novels and short stories such as "A Plague of Demons" and the legendary "BOLO" series has had on both the origin of the game itself and the underlying history of the game? Phil Eder ----- [See: http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/articles/notes.html I keep telling Steve to go grab an anime house and ink a deal, but he seems to be busy with other things. (Hey, the movie seems to be selling the new Starship Troopers game...) -HJC] ------------------------------ From: Ernesto Camillo Ganapini Subject: OGRE/GEV PBEM I'm an Italian Air Force Tech Officer (on SAR HH-3F "Pelicans) and I'm interested in PBEM that old small beauty called GEV, I've got an old edition (I don't think there's a new one!) and a lot of counters are "gone with the wind", will someone tell me where can I find a new set, copies or someone on the net with some kind of graph file? And where can I have a set of PBEM rules? So, opponents, please e-mail me! ICQ 6610724 ----- [There is a message board just for OGRE PBEM, see: http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/board/ -HJC] Henry J.
