============ OGREverse list, July 24th (Last: July 17th) ============= ===== Electronic Warfare From: OHara Walter ===== Penetrating Questions From: daniel@jaws.greatwhite.com (Dan Tulloh) ------------------------------ From: OHara Walter Subject: Electronic Warfare >conventional troops, but no Ogre - but they have a secret weapon. Y'see, >Side B, through some savvy espionage work, a high-power directional >transmitter, and just plain luck, has figured out how to hack into the >computer of Side A's Ogre. Here's how it works: Say, I like the sound of this. Has anyone ever created electronic warfare variants for OGRE (as in uploading viruses or trojan horses to the OGRE's computer)? That could put a whole different spin on the game. ----- [Does Iron Mountain count? -HJC] ------------------------------ From: daniel@jaws.greatwhite.com (Dan Tulloh) Subject: Penetrating Questions ><< [And while that parachute-shell is hanging up there and lining up on > the target it'll be shot down or jammed, no? -HJC] >> Mmmm....there's not much of a chance of this. I can't say too much about this particular munition, but the likelyhood of it being shot down is relatively small. As for jamming, how would that be accomplished? The munition does its own acquisition, discrimination, etc - there are no "directions" from HQ once it has been launched.
