============ OGREverse list, May 5th (Last: Apr 25th) ============= ===== Looking for the Rivets/Ogre/GEV variant rules... From: "Don Fougere" ===== OGRE Macrotures From: SFsupply ------------------------------ From: "Don Fougere" Subject: Looking for the Rivets/Ogre/GEV variant rules... Just got a copy of rivets and I recall in my distant past seeing a variant set of rules to combine my favorite games. I really hate re-inventing the wheel. Anyone got a softcopy version? Cheers, Some of the best ways to achieve immortality: AHH! Skip it! Don Fougere harikari@telusplanet.net ----- [Hmmm... It's not at http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/articles/ but it is listed at http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/articles/biblio.html (Which has a comment on da formula, but no link) -HJC] ------------------------------ From: SFsupply Subject: OGRE Macrotures flunky here again folks. Henry pointed out my rudeness in not specifying that the following invitation is for everyone on the list so, here goes: (Ahem) You are hereby invited to stop by Sci-Fi City/Enterprise 1701 (the game/hobby store I work at) at our new location, 6006 E. Colonial Drive (Hwy 50) in Orlando, Florida to play OGRE Macrotures! We will be moving to the new location at the end of May. It will take us a few weeks to get settled in so, OGRE Macrotures (and other MEGA events) will not be available until July. However, we will have over 1,000 sq. ft in our new in-store gaming section (the whole store is nearly 10,000 sq. ft.) so there will be plenty of room to run such "mega" events. So if you're planning to visit in, or around Orlando, please give me a call at the store any weekend day at (407) 896-1701 anytime from 11:00am to 7:00pm and ask for me, "John". I will happily try to arrange an OGRE Macrotures event on the day you can drop in! Remember, the more advance warning you can give me, the more likely I can insure that the event will run when you're in town. Oh... What's "OGRE Macrotures"? Well, its just like OGRE Miniatures, except that the "miniature" armor is about 8 to 10 inches long, the powered armor infantry are 30mm tall and the Mark V Ogres are over two FEET long. If you've been to the last few Gencons, you may have seen it being played with all the awesome scale scenery we have for it. I hope to provide scannable photos for use in the Steve Jackson Games Ogre site eventually. BTW: I am obtaining a new email address SOON! So please do not write to this one, as your mail will not reach me. Just watch the lists for my next note to pick up my new email address. best, flunky (aka John M. Hurtt) ----- [What a relief! I was almost forced to write an article on the fighting retreat in OGRE. Either the Fencer or the Mk IV is very dangerous in a "conventional" OGRE scenario. The Mk IV especially so. -HJC] Henry J.
