Does the private Corp. also count on Second Lts? ... Right, that leads me to one very silly idea for an OGRE scenario: silly? ... SILLY!?! YOU INCOMP***** @?!$/&! ... YOU JUST GAVE AWAY THE MASTER . Prepare . (For those who are wondering ... YES ... that was supposed to be 'Humor' Ar-ar-ar-ar.) (BTW, How many Second Lts. Does each side get?) > ----- > > [Why is Fnord Motors marked peaceful if they're a military contractor? > -HJC] > Good question. Does this poster know too much or ? ------------------------------ From: "John D. The other reason that the $500 toilet seats happens is keyboard error. It may have supposed to have been a $5.00 toilet seat, but somebody missed a period (10% error in keyboarding isn't unusual). Of course, there are also $250.00 tanks for the same reason, but the press never comments on those. There was an entire section at the base I used to work (Commander of Marine Corps Logistics Bases) that was responsible for finding these errors and correcting them. They *do* get corrected; there are a *lot* of auditors in the Government. It might make an amusing story, buying a Bolo because somebody missed a digit when ordering something else. I knew some people at the Washington Navy yard that tried to buy a 12" chain for the safety chocks on a vehicle (you can't set a parking brake, you have to chock military vehicles because the parking brakes are not always reliable). When Supply told them to come pick it up, they told them to bring a forklift. Turned out the 12" chain wasn't the *length* of the chain, it was the size of an individual link. What they got was anchor chain for the New Jersey == John == ----- [And the most amusing members of Congress come from where exactly?
