============ OGREverse list, Jan 16th (Last: Jan 13th) ============= ===== Boardgame to be reprinted. From: Servitor@aol.com From: "Garth L. Getgen" From: OHara Walter From: Steve Jackson From: SciGuyFla@aol.com ===== 3d Models From: "William Spencer" ------------------------------ From: Servitor@aol.com Subject: Boardgame to be reprinted. << The Ogre/GEV boardgame set goes back to press soon. >> Yes! And I get to run the demo games at my store! Heeheehee, anyone wanna stop by Sci-Fi-City and get there butt stomped, err, play in my demo games when the board game comes out again? best, flunky ----- [Is that http://www.sci-fi-city.com ? The flash page is missing alt tags. -HJC] ----- From: "Garth L. Getgen" Subject: Boardgame to be reprinted. And there was rejoicing around the world!! I don't know of any typos but may I humbly (or not-so humbly) suggest adding Line-Of-Site and Reaction Fire rules to the board game?? And if you want, I sent a draft I wrote of just such rules a couple-few years ago. They should be in Henry's archive files, or I can dig thru my hard drive and find my copy to resend, should you need. Also, I would *>LOVE<* to see some more maps to fight over, if that could be arranged!!! Garth L. Getgen, TSgt USAF ----- [Wouldn't reaction fire mess up GEVs? LOS is already in minis, but would require a map with ridges. -HJC] ----- From: OHara Walter Subject: Boardgame to be reprinted Will this be a straight reprint, or will it incorporate the units from OGRE miniatures (and conceivably some of the alternative units that have been created over the years)? Walt O'Hara ----- From: Steve Jackson Subject: Boardgame to be reprinted. We do want to do more maps. We don't want to add more rules to the basic game, but optionals are always a possibility for later releases. Steve Jackson - yes, of SJ Games - yes, we won the Secret Service case Learn Web or die - http://www.sjgames.com/ - dinosaurs, Lego, Kahlua! The heck with PGP keys; finger for Geek Code. Fnord. ----- [My suggestion: have a place on your website for people to submit PDF maps that folks can print up on their inkjets. Once you have a well tested set of maps (at a very low development cost) then do a small print run. -HJC] ----- From: SciGuyFla@aol.com Subject: Boardgame to be reprinted. A reprint of OGRE/GEV? (Hears strains of the "Hallelujah Chorus" burst forth!) Could this be the beginnings of the revival of the game? Are the BPC factories stoking the fires? Are the minis going to roll off the presses? Can one actually start saving up the pennies for (*gasp*) - dare we say it- the "Killing Zone"? I really hope this signals the beginnings of SJG's renewed commitment to all us BPC-heads! We (and our wallets) are ready! ------ [Maybe he'll come out with a collectable card game? If so, how much for a mint holo first edition Mark V? -HJC ;-] ------------------------------ From: "William Spencer" Subject: 3d Models Anyone know where I can find on the web 3D models of Ogre-style units? I found a Battletech archive with some good tanks and GEVs - no "official" units, however. I particularly need battlesuits. Thanks in advance. - William Spencer ----- [I'd check with Steve before posting any such. -HJC] Henry J.
