I'd say it can be used celestially, yes. However, *there is no Ethereal form*! (For which I am going to sob at someone.) My personal explanation for the ethereal thingy: The "form" that others see on the ethereal realm is merely an icon, a placemarker reflecting the person's self-image and point of view. Wounds to the corporeal or celestial form will show; mind hits very likely will *not*, depending on if one is in the Marches in general or a dreamscape or what. However, one can initiate celestial combat in the Marches, if one is celestial, and that makes the flaming hands work fine. At any point during there, they have to meet their Need, and then they can get Essence at the end of the duration. So yes, you do get a vampire meeting the Need right after sundown, sleeping through the day, and then getting his Essence upon waking up at sunset. >Does the Kyriotate attunement of war mean that they have to keep the >people they 'possess' until they are destroyed?? Kyrios of War don't *need* to possess people. They get a vessel, same as the other angels do. That ties up 5 Forces (for a human, less for a non-human at the GM's option), which *cannot* be used to possess other critters/people unless the vessel is *destroyed*. Note that the sentence starting with "Like others of their Choir" (or something close, I'm doing this from memory) should be adapted to the *real* rules as they got in -- they have to displace "total Forces" of their hosts, not just the hosts' Corporeal Forces. Each host, BTW, is treated as a vessel of its Corporeal Forces, IIRC. The formula for that is in the APG. p. 55, top of the 2nd column. >Why would a Kyriotate want to take the Song of Possession?? Note that the Attunement is clarified on p. 58 of the APG -- an "evil" human (as the GM determines it, which may or may not include "soul staining" Discord or something close) is what they get to play with. >Hmmm, lot of my questions have to do with the Kyriotates ;) *groans* No kidding. Well, the complex way would be figuring out how much damage the truck does and dividing that number by four. Off the top of my head, it should do about 25-35 disturbance. > i didn't bother, i just threw something blunt at the player Which is, of course, the simple way. > i hate servitors of janus Three words for you, my friend: Ophanim of Litheroy. I'd say that the only one in danger of being too powerful from this is the Kyrio. All of the others, while powerful, don't risk being combat-monstered, because the resonance just isn't that powerful. So restricting it to Perception-based resonances should keep things clean. Nathaniel Eliot temujin9@ix.netcom.com In the fourth grade, Mrs. Watkins gave me a D in Mathematics.
