The Relievers probably handle that. Especially the higher force ones with more experience. Relievers who serve Jean (giving them the ability to manipulate technology) and Yves (giving them a familiarity with paperwork) are good candidates. Or maybe the Symphony itself creates the paper trail for them. The higher a Role, the more "real" it is in the Symphony. Since the Symphony seems to resist change, it may create information to fill in for things that don't should exist but don't. The higher the Role the more it should exist, and the more the Symphony tries to resolve the discrepancy by making it seem real. This is all IMNSHO, of course. Wonder how that would work. Well, this goes a little into my personal theory on Forces and so on, so it may not apply to all games. But here goes: Most humans don't as many Ethereal Forces as one would assume from their stats. Instead, some of their knowledge and intelligence is built into the brain of their body. This explains, among other things, why people don't remember past lives - most of those memories died with the past body. There are ways around this little problem, but that is for another article. (Anybody going to bite?) A vessel, when it is created, has one of these fake Ethereal forces. Usually, the memories that this Force accumulates are the same as those of the Celestial who is using the vessel, and are ignored. But if the vessel changes users, those memories suddenly become relevant; they allow the Celestial to remember all the minute associated with the Role. Of course, the amount of knowledge depends on the time that has been spent associating the vessel with the Symphony, and thus depends on the level of the Role... There is one side-effect, and a couple permutations, of this. A character who has a vessel with a Role donated to him will have all the knowledge of stuff from that vessel, *unless he isn't in it*. Homegrowing a vessel is a pain in the butt for a fledged angel, but is sometimes worth it, if it includes valuable knowledge or skills. There is also the possibility for a vessel to include a skill or two, usuable only in that vessel. Compliments and flames encouraged (latter redirected to dev/null/). Under most circumstances, yes, a Vessel can look like anything alive, In Heaven & Hell, a celestial needs a Superior to make a Vessel for him. It may not have to be the Superior personally, but the assumption is, an Angel cant't do it himself. >If they can create their own vessels, what would keep them from having one >that looks exactly like Michael Jackson, the pope or Bill Clinton ? Ethereal spirits, and Celestials in Limbo can create their own Vessels. Ethereal Spirits aren't likely to make Vessels that look like Michael Jackson, the Pope, or Bill Clinton, because that would attract unwanted attention. Celestials in Limbo would have to create the Vessel from memory, spend a year or two doing so, and hope that they didn't crack and just jump out of Limbo with whatever Vessel they can wrangle. And even then, Celestials in limbo probably wouldn't do it, because they're usually either Renegade or Outcast, and don't want to attract attention. And Celestials in Limbo with the Need Discord are up a creek. >About Roles: the same thing - do they get them from their Superior or >tailor them on their own ? And how is a high level Role created ? A Role is part falsified documents, part conspiracy, and part living the life you claim to be. They take awhile to set up, and you can't do it alone...My rule of thumb... Role/1 1 Week Role/2 1 Month Role/3 1 Year Role/4 5 Years Role/5 10 Years Role/6 25 Years If the Role requires more years than the Vessel Age would be, as long as you've lived the Role from Birth, or very early infancy, there's no problem. Increasing the Role Level requires living the time difference. The more "Sensitive" your Role is, the more likely you'll need a higher-level Role. While "Migrant Worker", "Janitor", "Short-order Cook", or "Bum" or "Criminal" can get by with any level, you'll probably need at least a Role/3 as a "Police Officer", A Role/4 or /5 for "FBI Agent" and a Role/6 to pull off "President of the United States." Seraphim will usually take higher-level Roles, if they take them at all, because they require more time living as the person, and consequently, less falsification. A Seraph is lying if he gives someone a resume on which thereare untrue statements. >Could you murder somebody and afterwards get a Vessel with his appearance >and his Role ? Could you do this while he/she is still alive ? (So you >could really be Jackson, the pope...) Yes. Demons will probably do this far more often than Angels. Hard to get the memories, though. And a Seraph can pick you out on an introduction, with a CD 6. That, and important people are hard to kill and replace without people noticing. As for doing it while he's still alive...I'd say "Yes" as well. This practically guarantees you're going to lose the Role, unless you use it very sparingly. And people on all three sides are keeping tabs on important people, and looking out for frauds. Q: Can a Malakite of Animals take the Kyriotate of Animals attunement and get a fly Vessel?
