My turn: That was to provide enough pressure to activate the piezo-electric charging system, implanted in the heels and calfs, for the signal power boosters. The signal output was tied to the raising of the arms, the moment of maximum reception clarity. This gave the piezo-electric system enough time to boost the natural electro-magnetic signal of the nervous system to the level where another system could hear it. So, the goosestep built up a static charge, which boosted the neural transmission. But I don't think it would transmit every step they took: it would cause lag during defensive positioning (sitting around) and bandwidth overload at rallies and during marches. I suspect the Prussian Heel click was the transmission signal. The static electricity built up and stored in the legs is discharged when the heels are brought together sharply. This boosts the signal, especially if the right arm (containing an antenna) is raised at the same time. You will notice that some of the more senior German officers and citizens (who could get away with it) used the more common salute, touching the peak of the cap. This caused tremendous interference and feedback for Vapula resulting in unfortunate brownouts at several key Nazi meetings. He blames this bitterly for the breakdown of his great experiment. Strangely enough, I'd just been thinking about this the other day myself. Maybe the "Devil's Herd" of the song is a group of force-stripped spirits from Abaddon regressed into bovine form. What they're doing loose, though... wait, here's something. The riders are actually demons of Saminga currently on the outs with his infernally-idiotic majesty. So they have to perform this stupid, pointless task to keep out of his way for a few centuries. So what about the singer, you ask? The one who was told, "you'd better change your ways, my son, or with us you will ride"? Well, the riders needed horses, see, just like they needed the cows... an eternity of bridle and spurs would not be a pleasant afterlife, would it. In it, a stranger (a wandering writer) wanders into town and inspires a rubbish/garbage man to write an epic poem, then he inspires him to get it published and the man becomes rich and famous (while the travelling writer stays poor and gets into trouble). My point is this- the inspiration makes the wandering writer sound like a Menunim, but the nature of the poem (decried as pornographic by many) makes it seem like Andrealphus had a hand in it. Whichever side it was, the poem has a powerful effect. Whoever reads it has a strong reaction either for or against it. And, the film makes no definite stand about who is right. Overall, I think this is an excellent example of the difficulty there should be for players in deciding who is responsible for an incident. Divine, demonic, or human- any or all could have been involved. BY the way, it's quite a good film in it's own right. Won a prize at Cannes as well, I think...
