Kerzog, Demon Prince of Weaponry. Originally, a servitor of Baal (And still technically subservient to him), Kerzog won fame much the same way as Nybas did. With little or no help, he invented Gun Powder. Lucifer was so impressed, he granted Kerzog the word of Gunpowder, but Kerzog refused. The Lightbringer was astonished, and asked him what he had in mind. The exact details of that meeting were never revealed by anyone, but Kerzog was give his own little room near Vapula, and the 2 of them spent years developing what would later be called the Cannon. Subsequently, he invented the Gun, the pistol, the revolver, and the machine gun. For the creation of the concept of both the nuclear weapon and the sniper rife, Lucifer granted him the word of Weaponry. Kerzog is a Djinn. He doesn't care who his creations hurt, as long as they are used on someone. He cares little for infernal politics, but stays closely allied with both Vapula and Baal. He also routinely chats with Belial, but only cause he thinks the Demon Prince has a good taste in accessories. He absolutely despises Andrealphas, because lust, however useful it may be, distract people from using their weapons. The power of his word makes him the 5th most powerful demon in Hell (Lucifer, Kronos, Asmodeous, Baal, Kerzog), and one respected by all. He doesn't return this affection, he simply doesn't care about anything. His physical form appears almost normal, except when you count the array of Weaponry he has stashed about his person. Indeed, he is never seen with less than 6 weapons on him. Dissonance It is dissonant for a servitor of Kerzog to go one day without using a weapon. This note is temperary for 24 hours, upon which it becomes permanent and must be worked off another way. Band Attunments Balspheraphs The Decievers are each given an infernal weapon thats is either concealable, or undetectable in some way. Examples include: boots that fire bullets, a watch with a hidden razor blade, ect. The exact type of weapon is up to the Gm and player, but all have a power bonus equal to the demon's corporeal forces. Djinn The Djinn, who couldnt care less anyway, automatically gain back 1 essence if they use some sort of large or indiscrinant weapon such as: Rocket Launcher, Flame Thrower, Grenade, ect. This weapon is NOT given to them at character creation, but when the demon recieves such a wepon, he is automatically attuned to it (no roll needed). This attunment is NOT counted towards the total number of attunments possible. Calabites The masters of entropy are each given a hand to hand weapon (knife, sword, dagger, ect. but not a bow/gun/blowgun/missile, ect) which is NOT effected by thier resonance! Also, the demon may choose to channel his resonance thru the blade, which causes aggrivated damage! (In other words, the blade does normal damage, plus any extra damge caused by the Calabite's resonance). Halabite The Manipulators automatically succede in using thier resoance to inflict Anger on anyone holding a gun. Roll to get the check digit. If it is a 6, the person shoots down the next viable target, no matter what it is! (Human, dog, cat, tree, rock, shopping mall, ect.) Shedite The hosts of a Shedite get no will roll to resist the demon's intrusion if he is holding a weapon. Look for these demons, smiling, outside any militia or terrorist headquarters. Lilim Few Lilim serve Kerzog, weapons are no fun. Those that do, however, can invoke thier geas at +1 for anyone who is using a weapon. This +1 is not counted until the demon asks for the favor to be returned. (Example, Cici, a Lilim of Kerzog has a Geas/3 on someone. When she calls in the favor, its considered a geas/4 for all purposes.) Impudites The demons need not roll to steal essence during any activity when SIMULATED weapons are used. They are Excellent paintball players, fencers, and martial artists. Servitor Attunements A John Woo Film For the cost of one essence, no normal weapon used by the demon will ever run out of bullets. This also counts for Bows, crossbows, pellet guns, and slings. Never face this guy down in a Paintball game. BULLSEYE! For One essence, a Called shot by this demon is concidered a normal attack. Distinctions (Kerzog does not use the normal titles for his distincitons) Page of Weapons This demon may look at a weapon, and identify its: Make, Model, year of manufacture, where it was used last, who used it, ect. In short, ANYTHING the Gm wants to tell him about it. Squire of Weapons Demon, for one essence, may call a weapon to his hand instantly. Do not, get into a quick draw match with these guys. Master of Weapons For 3 essence, the demon becomes immune to all damage from a SINGLE type of weapon! (I.i. Gun, Bow, grenade, Nuke, 10 minutes of Julio Iglesias, a closet full of polyester pantsuits in neon colors, an Oprah Windfrey Sings! Record.) this lasts a number of minutes equal to the deons Celstial forces. Relations. If Kerzog actually cared, this list would be bigger. Allied: Baal. Associated: Vapula, Belial Hostile: Andrealphas. Enemy: Novalis (Who else?) Chance of Invocation: 2 Invocation modifiers: +1 A butterfly knife or Switchblade +2 A Pistol with the serial number filed off +3 An Assault Weapon or Weapon of mass destruction (Note to Dijinn: He keeps this, so dont use you're own to summon him.) +4 An Antique sword at LEAST 300 years old +5 The firing console for a Stealth Bomber (additional +1 if the Stealth is still attached to it) +6 An Atomic Bomb Enjoy folks! Lets hear some comments please. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 02:23:27 -0400 (EDT) From: Pee Kitty Subject: Re: IN> A new Demon Prince On Tue, 11 Aug 1998 Akumsa@aol.com wrote: > Okay here is another Demon prince for you guys to enjoy... > > Kerzog, Demon Prince of Weaponry. Interesting. I'd say it's too limited a word to qualify for Princedom (for the record, no I *don't* use Furfur)...might I suggest making him a Duke of Baal, instead? Following David Ed's writeup of Izrann, it's not a far stretch to leave all the band and servitor attunements in place; the only change would be that his servitors would have both his and Baal's rites and dissonance conditions. Though honestly, I could see him serving Vapula as well... > distract people from using their weapons. Or are you saying that Death is less powerful than Weaponry? His word is much more limited than the ones in the book, thus less far-reaching, thus less powerful. > Balspheraphs > The Decievers are each given an infernal weapon thats is either concealable, > or undetectable in some way. If you have Liber Reliquarium, you may wish to go into a bit of detail about how concealable they are; that way it's easier for players to customize 'em as per the rules in LR. Nice band attunements. > BULLSEYE! > For One essence, a Called shot by this demon is concidered a normal attack. Waste of 10 points. The difference in accuracy between a called shot and a normal attack is -1; the one essence makes up for that anyways! Might I suggest instead "For one essence, the demon may make a called shot at no accuracy penalties, which effectively doubles the check digit of a successful roll, or changes it to 6 (whichever is better)!" You left off Rites. Overall, a good writeup and a fun Superior, but I don't think he qualifies as a Prince. I guess I can see it if necessary, but he should *not* be one of the most powerful. - -- Rev. Hey, I think its a great idea to write up amsterdam, but its wrong to assume that amsterdam is all about sex, drugs adn parties. With 2 universities, both Vapula and Jean will have an interest here (not to mention the CWI and SARA). Dominic will be snooping around looking for Eli. The Shedite will start frying when it comes out of the host (as it will be forced to within 30 minutes). Well, the first problem is that the Vessels of both angels and Demons are sterile, and remain so unless the celestial uses the Celestial Song of Fruitition. It's further complicated that even if both use the Celestial Song of Fruitition, a pregnancy still won't result; the reqirements ofv the song of Fruitition are that at least one partner be human. One way that this could be arranged would be if the raping demon is a Shedite, spossessing a Human host, and the raped Angel had sung the Celestial Song of Fruitition Recently. Another way around it is to make the Angel in question be one of the Grigori, who don't need the Song of Fruitition to reproduce. In this case, a non-shedite Demon who knows the Song of Fruitition might be able to pull it off, but then, it's a deliberate attempt to get a human pregnant. > >This is further complicated by the demon raping an amnesiac angel unaware >that the person was anything other than human. A bit more difficult to arrange. IF the Demon hears the angel singing Celestial Fruitition, it could tip him off right there. The Miscellaneous Demon / Grigori rape is probably the easiest way to plot this, and remain in canon. The Angel would have to be out of Essence completely, or almost completely. > >Any thoughts? > >Andrew > > > >- ------ =_NextPart_000_01BDC463.BF588DA0 >Content-Type: application/ms-tnef Both Superiors are likely to think very poorly of it. Accepting an attunement from another Superior is a political act...and accepting one from a Superior on the other side is a Political act that an Angel shouldn't be attempting to make, if he values his continued existence. The best course of action would probably be to reveal to his Superior that Kobal gave him the attunement against his will, and ask to be stripped of it. If the Angel chooses to keep it from his superior, Kobal now has a hook in him, and would be likely to blackmail the angel repeatedly. (Do what I want you to, or the local Triad is going to find out.) And his Superior would be furious with him, once he does find out. Do not expect leniency from the Divine Inquisition in that case. If he tries to use it, hmmm. Let's see...I'd be tempted to say it works normally...but it also lets Kobal know that he's using it, and how. That's something Kobal will neglect to mention, until he starts turning the screws. You could also have it inflict dissonance every time he uses it..but that would tip the Angel off far too quickly for Kobal's liking. ===== ><{{"> =================================================== <"}}>< ====== Nana-Yaw "The Fish" Ofori, Freelance Soldier of Heck, presenty serving Trudy, Impudite Captain of Gluttony, the Demon of Popcorn nofori@pop3.utoledo.edu | Homepage: http://members.tripod.com/~maltesh maltesh@usa.net | In Nomine: http://members.tripod.com/~maltesh/T317 ===== ><{{"> ============ "Life's a Fish, then you Fry." ======= <"}}>< ====== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 12:15:32 -0400 (EDT) From: Emily Dresner Subject: Re: IN> Interesting delema > If he tries to use it, hmmm. Then the game is up far too quickly for the GM's pure enjoyment. I would, instead, have it go off far better then the Angel ever expected. Minor illusions keep the attention of the victim held rapt, major illusions are a sight to behold. Make it fun to use, almost pleasurable. Make Prank extremely useful to the player. A very useful attunement is one that is used often by players, and won't it be ironic when he slips up and uses it in front of someone who will report it to the Inquisition? That'll be a side splitter, especially if he uses it to save that someone in question from demons. - - Em Current Quote: Eli says "Luckily for us, hostess snack cakes very rarely go on a mad rampage, except in times of extreme stress." ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 13:27:58 EDT From: Akumsa@aol.com Subject: IN> Revised Demon Prince, and new plot seed. Weaponry NOT enough for a Demon prince? Come on! Weapons are all over the world! The word is fluent enough to qualify for Demon Prince. He absolutely despises Andrealphas, because lust, however useful it may be, distract people from using their weapons. )The power of his word makes respected by all in both heavn and hell. He doesn't return this affection, he simply doesn't care about anything. His physical form appears almost normal, except when you count the array of Weaponry he has stashed about his person. Indeed, he is never seen with less than 6 weapons on him. Kerzog's servators must be in excellent physical shape at all times, they must also be able to use any weapon they pick up. His servators reek hell with the moral word, causing as much damage as possible, on both humans and property. They are also honorable to some extent. They will challenge people to duels instad of sneak attacking them. They love Micheal and Laurence's servitors (EXCEPT the Malakim), and activly seek them out. Dissonance It is dissonant for a servitor of Kerzog to go one day without using a weapon. This note is temperary for 24 hours, upon which it becomes permanent and must be worked off another way. Band Attunments Balspheraphs The Decievers are each given an infernal weapon thats is either concealble, or undetectable in some way. A through search will NOT reveal the weapons location on his person. (I.e. If he has a metal gun/knife, it will NOT show up on a metal detector.) The Size of the weapon is also irrelavent. (thus, out of a change purse, he can yank an Uzi... though not easily) These demons enjoy roles as weapon salesmen, black marketeers, and assassins. Examples of the weapons include: boots that fire bullets, a watch with a hidden razor blade, ect. Look for them as a member of street gang you can think of. Halabite The Manipulators automatically succede in using thier resonance to inflict Anger on anyone holding a gun. Roll to get the check digit. If it is a 6, the person shoots down the next viable target, no matter what it is! (Human, dog, cat, tree, rock, shopping mall, ect.) They absolutely LOVE police officers and soldiers. Shedite The hosts of a Shedite get no will roll to resist the demon's intrusion if he is holding a weapon. They may steal essence from all participants, but roll anyway to get the check digit. They still gain dissonance for killing a human. BULLSEYE! For one essence, the demon may make a called shot at no accuracy penalties, which effectively doubles the check digit of a successful roll, or changes it to 6 (whichever is better)! Do not get into a quick draw match with these servitors. Record.) this lasts a number of minutes equal to the demons Celstial forces. Rites. - - Spend 2 hours resting in an armoury or weapon factory. - - Spend 4 hours at a practice range. - - Perform a ritualized Kata from any martial art for 1 hour. - - Enter into a duel with weapons. Relations. If Kerzog actually cared, this list would be bigger. Allied: Baal. Associated: Vapula, Belial Hostile: Andrealphas. Enemy: Novalis (Who else?) (To some lesser extent:) David, Micheal, and Laurence. (Though it can be argued by some that Micheal and Laurence has a gruding respect for him. This has never been proven, and the 2 angels deny it, but thier servitors tend to fight honorably when the encounter each other, never using a cheap tatic or tirck to win.) Chance of Invocation: 2 Invocation modifiers: +1 A butterfly knife or Switchblade +2 A Pistol with the serial number filed off +3 An Assault Weapon or Weapon of mass destruction (Note to Dijinn: He keeps this, so dont use you're own to summon him.) +4 An Antique sword at LEAST 300 years old +5 The firing console for a Stealth Bomber (additional +1 if the Stealth is still attached to it) +6 An Atomic Bomb Revised and sent for youre approval. And now a bit of a plot seed... Angels/Demons are sent to discover why a particular milita group has started to aquire more weapons than necessary. No one knows particularly why this group is imortant, but both Yves and Kronos have taken a personal Interest. (What this interest is is up to the GM) For the angels: (possible hooks) - - David is curious as to why this group has started to act more militant than necessary. He contacted his local servitor, a Mercurian name Celest, but nothing has been heard from her since she started to investigate. - - Michael and Laurence Are also curious, but less so, as far as they can tell, everything is fine. One of Micheal's Malakim had infiltrated the group, and made sure that thier efforts A) did not get out of hand, and B) Were aimed towards known demon strongholds. - - Novalis despises this group and wishes to send servitors to persuade them to become more pacifistic. Cant we all just get along? - - Gabirel is concerned that the humans may start attacking innocents. If that happens, the must feel god's fire. For the Demons: (possible hooks) - - Andrealphas dosent like the fact that these people are becoming more militant. He had started to convert the group into one giant sex organization, when this desire for weapons increased. - - Saminga is all for the militant attitude, and will send demons out to make SURE that they start using a lot of guns. Everything must die. - - Kerzog is responsible for this, and has at LEAST 2 servitors nearby to make sure everything goes smoothly. (thse stats of these servitors is up to the GM, but at least ONE of the servitors has a Distinction) - - Kobal may send some servators to switch the real weapons with squirt guns, or those nifty guns that shoot the flags which say BOOM! What has happened is that Kerzog, who saw what Andre was trying to do to David's little group, got mad. Why waste such perfectly good weapons with lust? Since he could care less about Andre anyway, he sent a Balspherah and a Lilim to switch things around a bit. Now with the group stockpiling a major arsenal, Kerzog has ordered his servants to start increasing the group's paranoia. Its only a matter of time before they pull a David Koresh impersonation (With the Balspheraph leading the charge). When that happens, a lot of guns will go off, and Kerzog will be pleased. David's Servitor is NOT dead, but she is being held in a secret place and is held with a relic that imprisons a celestial. (Again, Ill leave the shape of this up to the GM) Any servitor of Novalis who shows up is likely to get an unfreindly greeting. (Something along the lines of: "Hi, may name is..." Sound of a missile launcher going off.) Servitors of Micheal and Laurence will find that The infatuaion with weapons this group is having is healthy, but the paranoia is not. ------------------------------ End of in_nomine-digest V1 #906 ******************************* The material here is (C) 1997 Steve Jackson Games, Incorporated.
