The only commentary that I could provide on the D.C.-area, is that if you want to include Baltimore, just consider it a den of chaos, which is what it is. The police are good, but the area is crime ridden and relatively dangerous. Matt. I don't know the city very well (I'm working off what I remember of it from about 10 years ago), but it seems to work out so far. What kind of material were you looking for? If you want, I can pass them along. Some (though not all) are mentioned on the campaign page: http://homepages.tcp.co.uk/~maya/nomine/fiat.html And no, players, you can't have the full list of diabolical Tethers. Or, as an alternate proposition; Lilith was the first victim of the "You, too, can become a demon" scam from Night Music. The one where you crack a Demon oen, insert some human forces and memories, and staple it back together. Perhaps the knows this, and doesn't care. Perhaps she knows, and has been plotting revenge for it since shortly after the Fall. Or maybe she doesn't know, and what's left of the /real/ Lilith Lucifer keeps in a strongbox somewhere in the Lower Hells... ===== ><{{"> =================================================== <"}}>< ====== Nana-Yaw "The Fish" Ofori, Freelance Soldier of Heck, presenty serving Santos, Habbalite Knight of Death, the Demon of Evolution in Action. nofori@pop3.utoledo.edu | Homepage: http://members.tripod.com/~maltesh maltesh@usa.net | In Nomine: http://members.tripod.com/~maltesh/T317 ===== ><{{"> ============ "Life's a Fish, then you Fry." ======= <"}}>< ====== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Sep 1998 23:38:06 -0400 (EDT) From: gantr@NKU.EDU Subject: IN> Fantasy Island - A Tether? My, but this list has been dead... Anyway, I just caught the pilot of the new Fantasy Island, and it looks to be one of the best new shows on TV. So what does this have to do with In Nomine? Observe. The island itself could easily be a Tether, probably to Creation. It can be anything, be anywhere, and provide anything. Mr. Roarke is the Seneschal, an Elohite of Creation in service to either Destiny or Fire (or, perhaps, he serves both). He uses the resources of his Tether to show people the consequences of what they think they want, to punish the cruel, and to encourage individuals towards their Destinies. Unique abilities provided by his Word-link with his Tether include a limited ability to multi-task (he was in several locations at once) and control the perceptions of mortals within the Tether. He has three Servitors at the Tether, whom he refers to as his "staff". Two (whose names escape me at the moment) appear to be Saint-like; I inferred that they were Hellbound souls Roarke rescued, and is giving a second chance at Heaven through service at the Tether. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but it is certain that they are not ordinary humans; they appear to share in Roarke's ability to multitask through the Tether, and they look foreward to working off their sentence. The third Servitor is Ariel, who wears a vessel which appears as an attractive caucasian woman. She (in In Nomine terms) also possesses the Celestial Song of Form at a high degree of skill, and the Kyriotate of Creation attunement. I would speculate that she is a Mercurian, although a Bright (or even Grey) Lilim may be the case. Of course, that's just my take on translating the show into game terms. But I'd recommend it, both as a good show and as a (somewhat different) In Nomine resource.
