WoD played properly should be the epitome of Dark (hence the name), and if it is played properly the atmosphere is great and far from one-tone (most people don't play it that Dark because of a number of reasons like people don't like losing their favourite character to the Beast). However Dark all the time does get repetitive so it's good to break it up a little with Lite, besides without Light, Darkness isn't that Dark. The (A) cool thing about IN is that it can be quite Light-hearted at times and quite Dark at others.
