Andrephalus the Impudite Prince of Lust now has taken command of the world
of Hell and most of Earth by preying on mankind's desire to be loved and
mixed it with their feeling of being unworthy of such desire. Lucifer has
not been seen in over a century and most demons now pay homage to the Prince
of Withering Desires and the lesser princes under him directly. Andrephalus
has shown that he can grant words related to his own and has even elevated a
number of Princes which leads many to believe the Dragon of Biblical portent
is dead at the hands of the previously looked down Lord of Perversion or
perhaps some heavenly force.
Most demons do not care and most angels have better things to worry about.
History:
The treaty between Nybbas and Andrephalus to create a religeon devoted
entirely to self gratification was well known from the beggining to
servitors of many Archangels let alone their fellow Princes and own
servants. However few believed that the Mad Media Mogul and his decadent
essence draining friend could truly transform the entire social order.
However quiet alliance with Lilith and Valefor awaited the time that they
arose their prophet of pleasures whose sermons on the validity of every
religeon no matter how contradictory it was to others, the highest pursuit
of spirituality was indulgence of the inner and outer desires, and the
pursuit of beuty suceeded in appealing to a carefully jaded and bored mass.
Andrephalus knew what people wanted and he knew how to play his enemies
against one another. Laurence was Uriel and the ideals of bodily purity had
become mixed with natural desire to procreate and it was not difficult to
encourage the war between him and Saminga and Baal to escalate as he
carefully corrupted the few remaining loyalist churchmen. Lilith and Novalis
did his dirty work preventing Armageddon as he moved gradually to set Nybbas
and Beleth upon one another as he made quiet alliances with Ethereals and
encouraged Blandine's war with Haagenti. Malphas was at Andrephalus's side
during this affair totally as he transformed the world.
The plan surprisingly worked entirely well as not once did the various
demons and angels consider him enough of a threat that he wasn't able to
gradually subvert their words and at the end of a century he surveyed from
his black throne a world which angels had called tolerant and loving but
demons called entirely selfish. He had also arranged for the destruction of
his enemies in totem. Now Andrephalus has called the Princes to him and set
new ones in place as his palace of Principality of pleasures covers most of
Hell.
The World of Corporeality:
Andrephalus's decadent touch has truly had a perverse effect on the planet
that most of our time would be deeply shocked at though because Andrephalus
is one of the most subtle princes many might call some of his changes a step
in the right direction-even in heaven still. Whether that is correct or not
will ultimately be up to God when he returns to set things right on
Armageddon-if it ever comes now.
Sexuality of course has become even more of a forefront in society as sexual
taboos have at once become more prevelant and less deeply engrained than
ever before. Andrephalus's word depends on sex being something that is
wanted despite it being wrong so he has done his best efforts to layer
desire so that one can recieve it at any point but there are always deeper
levels of "pleasure" to pursue.
Advertising, publications, and television have become even more sex obsessed
then before and it is pratically unheard of for any show or article to not
mention sexuality at least once. Art has not followed far behind with
statues, potraits, and images almost uniformly devoted to the human/demon
form. Hangups go from obsessive chastity, which while lauded by religeous
publications is attacked by dissenting groups, to obsessive nymphomania with
the exact *wrong* type of people who don't wish it. Nudity is prevalent in
both artistic and greater degrading forms that it's considered "good" for
Children to learn about. Laws regarding molestation, rape, and crimes of
passion such as murder of adulterous spouse (despite it's unnatural nowadays
not to have a mistress or mister) are very leniant and prostitution is legal
everywhere though more dark forms are of course illegal and relatively easy
to find.
Catering to degraded appetites are very easy to come by and sex is routinely
taught to be a controlled issue but it is easy anywhere to find tethers to
Andre or would be tethers which will support his dark appetites and
occasionally an additional word as well.
The Marches:
The stalemate between Blandine and Beleth has become more than alittle
heated as both nightmares and dreams have taken on decidely sexual
connotations which have affected both their servitors and the Archangels
themselves in rather bizzare ways (buy the French In nomine for details
about Blandine and apply them to Beleth as well). Tethers of True love are
rare for Blandine but when they occur they are known to shake the Lady of
Dreams out of her increasingly decadent stupor to be defended from
Andrephalus's relentless attacks. Her fall is worried greatly about and
Andre is already setting a place for her in Hell's palaces.
Isis, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Odin, Pan, Bachuss, Set, Hera,
Freya, and several other gods and goddesses have undergone strange changes
as Andre has supplied them with cults that have truly reflourished them with
essence though it has changed them greatly to almost completely eliminate
any chaste or devoted aspects to them beyond their worshippers. Isis has
begun looking for a new husband and Athena courts openly many noble male
warriors but this has proven unfortunate in more cases than one for Andre,
Apollo, Pan, Bacchus, and Aprodite...well no real change there, Set has
become very similiar to how Conan the Barbarian portrayed his cult, Hera is
as cheating as Zeus was, and Odin's Valkyries seduce as often as they
protect.
Oddly Vishnu and his wife Sita have become very powerful as they routinely
ride through the Marches slaying foes but Andre only biding his time til he
may destroy the Indian Pantheon once and for all.
Heaven:
Heaven in it's inability to understand humanity produces more Mercurians and
now Grigori (see below) than ever before. Dominic really doesn't try any but
the worst sexual offenses among angels anymore but those he sentences to
complete obliteration rather than outcasting.
Azrael has returned along with the rest of the Grigori choir and their
children under Eli and currently is working on slaughtering the undead which
now serve Andrephalus as surely as they served Saminga. He is especially
active in reproductive rights and the sanctity of life...and the holy right
to execute that has allied him with Gabriel.
Blandine's possible comming fate is already being described as the Djinn
becomes increasingly jaded for her dream pleasures and desire for true life.
Christopher was destroyed by Haagenti in his final rage across the cosmos.
David went out with a bang the way he wanted to as loyalty amongst humans
has faded to the point that he hunted down and did battle with Malphas where
he was destroyed in his dissonance though many believe the Archangel simply
chose to join the Tsaydim seeking true unity in a world ruled by self
gratification.
Dominic has been hard hit by the comming chaos and his weakening power in
the face of mankind's increasing bad taste threatens to strip him of his
archangel status. His reaction is typically seraphic as he claims it is
time to execute Novalis for her treachery and any other angel (a list which
includes Blandine, Jordi, Song, and Eli) who has been corrupted by the
corporeal pleasures and begin armageddon to purify humanity of it's
decadence. He accepts no grigori in his service and certainly not their
children as soldiers.
Eli has returned to Heaven with the entire Grigori choir as he has convinced
them that in today's society their knowledge of humans (and now with
Andrephalus in charge their mastery of the Corporeal pleasures) will provide
a valiant boost for the war effort. His rites now include many to encourage
love amongst humans but some say he's become seduced by Andre's message and
has returned to destroy heaven.
Gabriel has benifited greatly from all this as she now routinely smites and
desroys the ever present cruel, allied with Michael she encourages the most
beutiful of passions and inspirations with Eli.
Janus is dead as it is believed Valefor destroyed him utterly....though
rumors exist that Janus had been masquerading as a Prince of Hell for some
time andre made sure the mask became reality
Jean has become a word bound in service of Yves as his influence has
dwindled to almost nothing.
Jordi is hurting badly as animals have seemingly become as corrupt as humans
as andre increasingly portrays them as lustful creatures that is seemingly
sending what few awakened that exist to hell as well. He has begun hunting
like the Celtic Wild hunt and his servitors and he may fall soon to replace
saminga (and likely die for it)
Khalid was betrayed unto death by Marc into Malphas's hands and tortured for
666 days until he was slain by Laurence who had come to rescue him....but
could only end his suffering. It is said he died a malakite.
Laurence is a much darker figure as his shame in failing to keep Lust in
check has caused him to take up a mantle as a dark avenger and his oaths
have begun to expand to include all truly religeous but his servitors
despite now including all of Khalids, many of Davids, and many of Janus's
are very small as they take the fight to as much of hell as they can.
Marc is now Demon prince of Pandering having fallen in exchange for the
Middle East's oil fields and the right to completely rebuild their society
from the sand up into a model "western" society.
Michael conducts the War as he always has though some even note HE has begun
to indulge with some of those under his command.
Novalis is a pariah of Heaven as her actions have helped doom the world to
what it currently is but she alone remains completely uncorrupted it seems
as she and her servitors are Andrephalus's most hated enemies as they remove
the last taboos he has left and show what is harmful and what is not. Her
sadness and quiet guilt are immense.
Song has returned from her tour as a number of Pop female singers (YOU GUESS
WHO THEY ARE) and is as bubbly and lustful as ever...however her musings are
helping talk about love which is all too derided and she has allied with
Novalis.
Yves is Yves though he does seem annoyed he's had to quarter off a large
section of his library to Pornography and he actually grumbles about it.
Zadikiel protects those trapped under abusive partners, those trapped in the
thriving sex slave trade, and children...she is probably the most overtaxed
angel in Heaven and like the others has turned to physical enjoyment to
relieve herself.
Hell:
Lucifer has been missing for a century and the rumors about his
dissapearence are wild indeed.
Andrephalus is the King of Hell and while his word now apparently covers all
forms of Lust he is still the absolute master of every concievable sexual
act in existence. His power is immense and given his apparent imminent (by
Celestial standards) victory over Heaven...he's still going strong. The
Minor Princes of Seduction, Adultery, Promiscuity, Sadism, Masocism, and
Orgies are still tenious in their thrones but Andre looks forward to the
time they can become full members of the heirachy.
Alameon is in a word...bored with current events because all his secrets
arn't really secrets as far as he's concerned. He's currently hopeing to
track down Baal, Lucifer, and perhaps some other mystery that will allow him
to defeat Andre. Andrephalus is already "auditioning" new canidates for his
word.
Asmodeus as the Demon Prince of the Game is quite content to switch his
loyalty at the drop of the hat and now comfortably writes the myriad taboos,
sex laws, and otherwise bizzare legality that colors Andrephalus's world as
surely as he covered everything under Lucifer. He is said to be awaiting
Dominque however with a salicious grin.
Baal is an outcast demon Prince as his power weakens as the war is
increasingly swung to Hell's side. Aproximately 10 to 25% of his demons
still exist with most of his souls jumping ship to pleasures of pain and sex
depriving him of a mass of essence. He is attempting to ally with Michael
but Laurence give him and his men no quarter when they find him.
Beleth has come to enjoy tormenting humans with dreams of pain and pleasure
and nightmares are now something wished for by them, instead of being
repulsed she seems to be very happy with the new arrangement reflecting
Andrephalus's desires for a more personable djinn.
Belial was annhilated along with an entire city in an act labeled nuclear
terrorism but was the first strike of the reborn wrath of God.
Fleurity is dead and replaced with a Lilim who now specializes primarily in
aphordics and other arousal methods.
Fufur is living it up and his hardcore lifestyle appeals to many jaded folk.
Though officially allied to Andrephalus, it was Fufur who after all killed
Fleurity on his orders, Fufur encouraged much of the old ultraviolence, drug
use, and music that appeals to many. Rumors that Fufur has met with David
are of course ridiculous.
Haagenti was killed after a final Rampage across Hell, Earth, and Heaven
with Marc taking both his and Mammon's place as the Demon Prince of
Pandering. The new Prince of Hell now controls the thriving industry
catering to the jaded appetites of them all.
Kobal found the initial joke very funny but now he's a bit worried as he's
losing all his straight men. Still theres an endless supply of sex jokes
now and his loyalty to andre is still higher than Lucifer before hsi great
betrayal.
Kronos is Kronos though he notes his servitors such as Haphitas and so
forthe have asked him to lighten up and Kronos DOES NOT lighten up.
Lilith and her Lilim have become much more depraved and openly prostitutic
in Heaven and seem to be enjoying themselves greatly as they see this new
freedom as the ultimate or works....though many are beggining for the first
time to wonder what to do now that they arn't so cutting edge.
Malphas is Andrephalus's right hand and is the most needed Prince in Hell
because all this enjoyment is going to eventually lead to feelings if he
isn't on the clock 24-7. He is awaiting some juicy morsel like Michael to
come down in order to create a rival for lust like Bloodshed or such.
Nybbas has the funniest impression he's been screwed (pardon my lanquage) in
his contract somewhere. While not hostile to Andrephalus he is certainly
not happy with the current arrangement but doesn't dare yet rock the boat.
His power while great is still not significantly greater than before.
Saminga was slain battling with Heaven.
Valefor is the Prince of Competitors; Virginity, Chastity, Honor, and
beutiful acomplices live well in his domiciles and he is enjoying tweaking
Asmodeus's nose as a prince more powerful than him. He isn't stupid enough
yet to try and destroy him but he is getting very comfortable in his new
home. He's also taken up Gebbeleth's nasty tendency of adding rape to his
word.
Vapula is allowed to live in Peace but he's been instructed to focus on
eugleynics (how to eliminate "ugly people" once and for all, how to prolong
life, how to prolong endurance and toughness etc), surgery, and objects that
best serve Kobal.
