I'm a theoretician, remember? So, if you've tried something of mine and it worked (or if it spectacularly didn't), feel free to email me and let me know what and why. Heck, I might even revise particularly broken things and repost them on my webpage. :) Thanks in advance... Moe *Yes, there are slots available. I live in the DC area, so those that are interested (looks pointedly in the direction of Baltimore) should email me. Times have yet to be determined: all I know is that it's going to be Bright and a bit Low-contrast (angels good guys, but with a certain 'noble enemy' riff going through certain members of the Other Side). Composition dependant on players: I've thought of something that will permit beginning Human/Celestial parties. ===== Liber Licentiae Moeticae: http://www.stormloader.com/users/moelane/innomine.html Last updated 07/29/01(this is usually way out of date) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It's all true. All of it.) Once upon a time it could have *been* true. It took chip manufacturers a long while to realise that they had to clean the traces of uranium out of the resin they use for encapsulating chips. Those alpha particles really can disrupt integrated circuits, and uranium is actually very common at very low concentrations. It all happened about the same time as the Mac II and MS-DOS 5.0, so most people didn't realise that their hardware had got more reliable - they thought it was just the new machines and OSes. - --- John Dallman jgd@cix.co.uk ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Aug 2001 12:55:49 +1100 From: "james walker" Subject: IN> Fantasy Month: The Demon of Angelic Visitations Lahatiel Baron of Hysteria The Demon of Angelic Visitations Habbalite of Dark Humor Corporeal Forces: 2 Strength: 4 Agility : 4 Ethereal Forces: 6 Intelligence: 12 Precision : 12 Celestial Forces: 6 Will: 12 Perception: 12 Word Forces: 3 Vessel: Androgynous Human/6, Charisma +3. Artifacts: Fiery Sabre/6 {is also a Talisman(Sabre)/4}. Attunements: Habbalite of Dark Humor, Farce of Mistaken identity, Baron of Hysteria, The Demon of Angelic Visitations. Special Rites: terrorise a human while impersonating an angel [+3 essence if you think you ARE an angel]. Lahatiel will only grant this Rite to other habbalah or to the rare Ethereal spirit created by nightmares about angels. Special Ability: Lahatiel may be summoned by anyone (including mundanes) who spends essence on a prayer to an angel while alone, so long as they have never knowingly met a Celestial. If he chooses to respond, he arrives 1-6 minutes later. "Fear Not - this is for your own good..." Hatiphas was somewhat annoyed to discover Lahatiel's existence. She had hoped to recommend one of her own Habbalite servitors for the Word of Theurgy - that plan died with the Habbalite under Lahatiel's Flaming Sabre. She'd love to destroy him, but Lahatiel's usefulness is one of the few things that Kronos & Kobal agree on. Lahatiel has held the Word of Angelic Visitations longer than Hatiphas has existed. His task is to so terrify humanity so thoroughly that humans don't dare call on Heaven. He earned his Word by terrorising Sorcerers, and still considers 'curing' their arrogance important. Over the millennia, he's acquired a broad understanding of their rituals, and is rumoured to know rituals unknown even to Hatiphas - not that he's ever willing to spend the time to teach them to anyone, of course. Fun as terrorising sorcerers is, Lahatiel now spends most of his time explaining that "prayer is heaven's junk mail" and that "we don't need advice from a bunch of stupid mortals, that you very much" to mundanes. He particularly likes dealing with children, as they learn quickly. Heaven really wants Lahatiel dead. Killing him will be tricky, as he only appears on the Corporeal Plane when summoned, and never stays for long; further he never answers the ambushes planned for him, for some reason.
