GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEV List Thingy, Jan 5thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Subject: Re: GEV List Thingy, Dec 23rd. From: cctony@sun1.mcsr.olemiss.edu In message <9212240612.AA13370@fly2.Berkeley.EDU.maggot> I write: >Do you happen to have a pretty exaustive bibliography for Ogre/GEV? >I have the SpaceGame with your articles, and issue 74, and a copy >of the Ogre book. I'd like to >get all the rules in one spot...(and if the address of that GEV game >appears in your return mail I'll be sure to ignore it :)) > The reason why I asked this one is because I'm dirt broke at the minute, but would like to have a clue about what's going on with this list.... I can't afford a copy of Ogre Minis. Okay, so this time I looked more into the dark corners of my gaming area and found yet more SpaceGamers... I found Icepick, a scenario that explains structure points, and my question is this: How close is the material given there to the structure points system in use now? This is in SG #68, BTW. The SP system (and lasers) was lifted from Ice Pick directly into Shockwave and hasn't changed much since. Actually the article that comes closest to Ogre Minis is "Ogre Squash" from the 50's I think. The single biggest change to the combat system has been the addition of a result on the CRT beyound X, called XX. That and the Platoons of Heavy Infantry with the attack strength of 9. (Is that doubled in overruns?) The attackers should remeber that orders are due in by the 8th... -HJC] Henry J.
