OM? (from an earlier message heavily referred to) Please Define (My guesses: OM is a book with some GEV rules in it whether printed or electronic Missile Infantry is a unit carrying missles (Ogre or Msl) possibly defined in OM...) Try mixing the Missile infantry with a few GEV's to mop up surviving Gevs... you wont need many since you will only target the D'd ones... ___ [Steve calls them Heavy Weapon squads, and they are found in Ogre Minis, a physical book you might want to pick up. Each HWS is like an abusual squad of infantry (1/1,D1,M2), except that they cost 4 points instead of two, and once in their lives they can fire as a missile tank (3/4), that's three points of attack per squad, nine points for a platoon. Steve's already ruled that you can't use the missiles in an overrun, much less at doubled strength. (Here Ogre, here boy, come fetch!) When I was working on my original formula, a while back, I favored "man portable mortars" or some such, that would let the infatry fire with their full normal stregth upto range four, on all turns that they didn't move. The ideal being that you'd establish your line of defense behind a creek or something, and then let the hovers have it, without leaving your cover. One of the reasons I must try a Raid with GEV-PCs (Manufactured by Ford, right, so that they've got PowerPC chips, right? ;-) is that my old formula had the original GEV-PCs (from Space Gamer #34?) at about half-an-armor-unit without adding in the infantry, and then Steve came out with these heavly armored hovers at the 3 VPs level. (They are bigger and slower than ordinary GEVs, yet have the same defense, so they must be more heavily armored, no?) I just need to see how infantry transport really works under the new rules. -HJC]
