Underneath the Xmas tree this year was a box of DELUXE OGRE, much to my delight. What a WONDERFUL job. I'm ecstatic with this release! I look forward to more of the same!! I acutally LIKED the GEV minis, even though I prefer the (Pan-Euro?) version. Questions: Will there be a GEV release on the same scale? The hex map alone would be worth the price of admission. Will other OGREs be released besides the Mark III? Can you purchase more individual figures (or group blisters of same) if you desire to beef up a particular part of your force structure (e.g., more HVY tanks?... I'm GEV-Happy, myself..). Can you purchase just the bases for infantry? Will SuperHvy, Light GEVs, and other Shockwave Stuff be made available at some point? Ack! you mean there won't be SJG police at tournaments to chuck out non-official armies? (believe it or not, there is a certain figure company that does this...) BTW, er, uh... unofficially of course, here's a website that may be of some interest to this readership. The GEV vehicles look useful. http://www.polomania.com/stan/micro.htm Ciao, Walt ----- [Sorry, my mistake, I got confused by the revamp the OGRE pages have gotten lately, see: http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/miniatures/ For a guide to Ogre-compatible miniature figures produced for other game lines. I don't remember the name of it but it was in an old Space Gamer, and I think that it was reprinted in the Ogre Book. Basically you had to cover the retreat of a supply convoy against a Ogre Mk-IIIB. I have a nice color map that I did up for that somewhere.
