How shallow are these lakes and rivers? Actually how tall are Ogres? The Delaware Bay has a lighthouse called Fourteen Foot Bank and there is a Fourteen Foot Shoal lighthouse in Lake Huron off the coast of Cheboygan. With a bottom depth of fourteen feet, I imagine all Ogre weapons (at least for Mark IIIs and later models) are above water and all attacks should be at normal strength. Most rivers in the US have to be dredged to accommodate ships and they only dredge enough to let the ships get through. I think, but don't know for sure, that a forty foot deep river is uncommon. Robert Gurskey ===== [There's lots of the San Francisco bay that's at least that deep. I'd lean towards treating anything much shallower as some sort of swamp but I could see the point of splitting bottom (Ogres), depth (Marines) and surface (GEV) features out for different units. -HJC] ============================== From: "Paul Chapman" Subject: Ogre Miniatures release dates > From: largecardriver5@webtv.net (e.w.markle) > > Hi Henry, > > I notice the MkIIIB is "At the Printer". Combine Set 11 will contain both the Ogre Mk. I and Mk. II -- look for "greens" of both on www.sjgames.com/miniatures/. Combine Set 13 = Mk. IV (mid-2002) Paneuro Set 11 = Legionnaire (late 2002) Paneuro Set 13 = Huscarl (Christmas 2002) Other stuff in 2002: revetments, PE GEV-MCP, PE Cruise Missile Crawler, Combine Light Artillery Drone, Hovertrucks for both. (Anybody going to field unpainted Mark-IVs for the battle of Mexico City?) Is there going to be a big difference between the Hovertrucks from both sides? I'd kinda like to see another combined set like with the wheeled trucks. -HJC] Henry J. Cobb hcobb@io.com http://www.io.com/~hcobb Any sufficiently cool technology is indistinguishable from religion.
