====== Ogre Digest, March 22nd (Last: March 12th) ======== ===== Cheap Heavy Metal From: "Duncan McEwen" ===== Ogre Mini Rules Mk2 From: "Karl A Vogelheim" ============================== From: "Duncan McEwen" Subject: Cheap Heavy Metal Hey Gang, I just wanted to let you know that I finally gave in to the dark side and bought minis. My wife had specifically forbid me to start that expensive hobbie (in addition to my CCGs and RPGs.) However, last night we both caved. At least we caved in for a good reason. The local Wizards of the Coast store was having a hard time selling any Ogre minis despite a very nice stock selection. So they put them ALL on the 50% table. I saw them and drooled. The store cleark said that I should buy them all, and I told here that if they lowered the price I would. They did. I got them all for 75% off. I now have 26 packs of minis, including 4 Mark V, 3 Ogerthulus, and just about 2 of every set and 3 Deluxe GEV sets. So here I am. I have a lot of painting to do. So when will Deluxe Shockwave be out? Thanks, Duncan I still like Paper!! ============================== From: "Karl A Vogelheim" Subject: Ogre Mini Rules Mk2 I just wanted to add that I think the posting by bbell regarding the reoganization of the OM rules to be spot on. Organizing the book with the rules first (I like the rule number ideas), the painting tips, and everything else afterwards, is a great idea and something that should seriously be considered if not used. Karl A Vogelheim ============================== [The Ogrethulhu Mk V is a Origins Award Nominee. (Dispite not having any rules for it available. ;-) However, with Paul distracted by Car Wars and Evil Stevie pumping out Munchkin expansions, it is more important than ever that the Online Assistant Editor for Ogre position be filled so that Paul has more time to work on OM2. See http://www.sjgames.com/general/netreps.html for the details. (If you like Car Wars, that's open too and it can't hurt to help out Paul with that also.) The readers of this list are the nuke-hard ogre fans so if anybody can field this assignment it's one of you and the time to do so is now. And maybe if you get the post you can try and talk Evil Stevie into Writing up a one page "Ogrethulhu Lite" to give out with each Ogrethulhu mini sold at Origins. (Tell him he's free to use my version if he's in a hurry. ;-) -HJC] List Moderator: Henry J.
