Movie: Dark Destiny, Bright Fate

   [Music: Mars, Bringer of War: The Planets, by Holst]

The world stood on the brink once more.
The Great Tiger, always thought as a minor principality, concluded their seekings.
With but a spark the whole was split asunder, and woe the earth trembled.
It spread dread illumination across the land.
From the four corners, the armies have gathered to fight upon an icy plain.
May the bringer of light have mercy on our damned souls.

</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Someone knocks upon the outside door of a house. Hugo reveals himself by opening it.

   Lauren: Speaking over the scene, "He's discovered a secret."

   Cut over to a pair of men standing at the doorway, looking in. The closer of the two is wearing a conservative looking suit, has graying hair, and appears to be some sort of professor; it's Brand. The second person looks like a zoned college student; it's Rabmag's host.

   Thomas: Also speaking over the scene, "What kind of secret?"

   [SFX Shot: Six red eyes flicker briefly over Brand's face.]

   Lauren: "The. . . The Beautiful Prince wouldn't tell me."
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Switch to Druiel being hastily handed a small yellow flyer by a lovely young teenager. One that's intimately attached herself to him.

   Teenager: "Come on Drew, you're always saying something deep about saving the world. Let's go to this Saturday night instead."

   Druiel: Sighs.
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Scene changes to a hospital ward. A nurse stands to one side, as Brand picks up a crying baby.

   Nurse: "Excuse me, who are you?"

   Brand: "And he asked him, What is thy name?"

   [SFX Shot: An oily, drippy form shoots tentacles into the nurse's head, and pulls itself inwards.]

   Nurse: She jerks her head back, then begins to smile.
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Cut to Druiel walking up a flight of stairs, carrying a large black dufflebag.
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   [Music: Turns into the bright cheerful bridge in the middle of piece.]

   Zara, Thomas and Lauren walking in Zilker Park.

   Zara: "Then we have find a way to stop him."

   Thomas: Pulls out a cellphone, "Yes. This is he. What's up?" His eyes go wide.

   Lauren: Looking halfway concerned, and halfway annoyed, "What is it?"

   Thomas: Lowering the cellphone, "He's been to Hippy Hollow. . ."
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Various shots taken from a crowd gathered around the base of the UT Austin Clock Tower. It's a Campus Crusade for Christ candlelight vigil. The scene ends with the camera panning up to the tower itself, showing that it's almost midnight, then it fades to black.
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   [Music: Begins the slow buildup of the final section of the piece.]

All around the great war raged on. Here could be found something different. Sometimes, the mortals surprised even us.
This was the great capital in the land of friendship. A city on the rim of a great abyss. Looking ahead to what has yet to be.

   [Music: Explodes as if a great battle is occurring.]

   * Spiritual energies swirl around this dark looking chalice.

<SCENE>
   The Camera focuses on a man, wearing a black suit with a red tie, holding the hand of a little girl, wearing a brilliant white dress. They are walking down the stairs in front of the clock tower, surrounded by the recent carnage.

   [SFX Shot: The man is bathed in an unholy darkness, and the girl is bathed in a heavenly light.]
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   Druiel, automatic rifle in hand, fires continuously down at the crowd below. Then it fades to black.
</SCENE>

<SCENE>
   [Music: Closing section of the piece.]

And so it came to pass. It all shall end. Not in a bang. Nor disappear in a whisper.
But end it shall. . .
. . .End in tears.
