The keys to the lost hall have been found . . .
Deep in the glacial peaks northwest of Isfjall, past the northwest border of the realm, a band of adventurers is deceived and nearly destroyed by a powerful Alfar sorceress as they pursue raiding hobgoblins. Through bravery and sacrifice, they deny her possession of a lost holy relic . . .

There's a reckoning coming for the Munchkin Collectible Card Game
. . . the Day of Wreckoning, happening at game stores around North America this coming weekend, April 6-8! Participating friendly local game stores will have tons of awesome prizes, like oversized, alternate art Hero cards, and a coveted poker chip Run Away marker! . . .

It's finally here! In a few short days (April 5-8), we'll be at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center for PAX East . . .
April 4, 2018:
Tom Vasel, of the Dice Tower podcast and website empire, posted a video talking about his top 10 game franchises. Munchkin
came in at number two on the list, and given what was number one (no spoilers!), I am very pleased with that.
Thanks, Tom, for the very kind words!

April 5, 2018:
If you haven't been to Warehouse 23 in a while, you may not realize that in addition to a lot of game expansions and accessories that were always exclusive to our online store, we also have some games that are out of stock in our distribution chain (or very, very close to it). Most of these won't be coming back when they're gone, so do some last-chance shopping now! . . .
April 6, 2018:
We launched the new Munchkin Collectible Card Game
in February, and the response has been phenomenal! During the launch month, the game accounted for over 50% of our sales, and since that time, we've only run into one significant issue: We're out of starters! . . .
April 8, 2018:
We're about two months out from the Origins Game Fair . . . which means that it's too late to panic, right? Fortunately, Guy and the crew have already been investing a lot of energy into Origins prep, which is making things significantly easier for those of us who are tasked to "show up and work" while the "make the carnival run smoothly" team takes the brunt of the hard labor . . .
April 9, 2018:
Are you the best at hiring Monsters, making Mischief, and deploying a well-timed bluff? It's time to find out . . .
April 10, 2018:
Spring has hit Austin in a big way, which means pretty wildflowers next to our highways, random storms on clear blue days, and all the pollen you could ever ask for (and a whole lot more that you did NOT). It also means it's time for another installment of news from the world of Munchkin
! . . .
April 11, 2018:
The next Munchkin Collectible Card Game
set, The Desolation of Blarg
, is set to darken our doorsteps in late May! This first expansion to the Munchkin CCG
adds all-new cards for even more depth and strategy.
However, as Munchkin
is a game of fun and chaos, we couldn't just make a new set without an unexpected twist . . .
April 12, 2018:
PAX East has come and gone, and the SJ Games team is back home . . . exhausted, but overwhelmingly happy about how awesome the con was. The convention was a huge success, with a metric ton of Munchkin Collectible Card Game
demos, lots of brand new players, packed events, and our first Munchkin CCG
constructed tournament! . . .
April 13, 2018:
Spring has sprung, and everything is bright and cheery . . . but that changes today! The doorsteps are darkened by the infamous Friday the 13th! . . .
April 14, 2018:
After more than three-quarters of a century spent defending our liberty, our backyards, and our living-room coffee tables, green army men have earned some weekend liberty. Artist Dan Abramson has been bringing unique yoga products to market for some time now, and he's found a whimsical take on the plastic soldiers of childhood . . .
April 15, 2018:
For those who missed it, Mayfair Games, as of early February, has essentially been sold to Asmodee. One good discussion is on Boardgamegeek . . .
April 16, 2018:

and Munchkin Apocalypse
have in common? Well, they're some of our best-selling games! . . .
April 21, 2018:
If you're old enough to remember the TV show Liar's Club
, you may recall they wheeled out weird objects, provenance unknown, for celebrities to tout and contestants to determine the purpose of. Carrying on this proud, obscure tradition, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) periodically produces such an item and asks if anyone knows what in the world it is . . .
April 23, 2018:
Today, April 23, is the 402nd anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. To celebrate, we're encouraging everyone to play a game of Munchkin Shakespeare
with their friends, and we're issuing the following special rule that's valid today only:
Once per game, you may Run Away automatically from all monsters in a single combat by demonstrating your best theatrical death scene to the other players at your table (and anyone else who may be around).
Happy dying! . . .
April 24, 2018:
Every year from 2010 through 2014, we released a Warehouse 23-exclusive pack of Munchkin
cards. In 2015, we collected all those cards into a boxed set, Hidden Treasures
, because the first couple of expansions were out of print and people were asking how they could find the cards . . .
April 25, 2018:
The first Munchkin Collectible Card Game
expansion, The Desolation of Blarg
, is set for release next month. The expansion is now out of the factory and on a ship, sailing across the Pacific Ocean, so it is just down to the logistics of freight receiving, distributor sales and fulfillment, and individual friendly local game stores ordering the new boosters and setting them out for you to find and enjoy . . .
April 26, 2018:
We're bringing back some deluxe-ified editions of our classic games this August!
Go down in the dungeon. Kill everything you meet . . .

International Tabletop Day has come a long way since its inception, growing to one of the biggest geek holidays around! Tomorrow, Saturday April 28, is the sixth annual Tabletop Day, and you can feel the cardboard-laced excitement in the air.

Soldiers need to be able to get in and out of any number of tight spots to do their job, so what happens when they're once again confronted by a slit or hole too narrow or small for a human to fit through? You send in a squid, of course . . .
April 29, 2018:
The Internet, like Warehouse 23, has some strange and dusty boxes in its back corridors. Seen any really odd
ones recently? . . .
April 30, 2018:
Long, long missing (though not forgotten), Where We're Going
launched as our stand-alone trade publication way back in 1987. We've shared archived PDFs of some of the later Where We're Going
issues on our site (check them out!), but those earliest issues only exist in print . . . and as an offline collection of PDFs that we sometimes refer to when we need to check on release dates of older games and expansions . . .
